good buy
 Apr 22, 2007

lots of space and compartments, however bulky but professional appearance. I cannot rate durability since I have only owned it for a couple of months. It is holding up well at this point.

DAXX ROLLING CASE
from Los Angeles, CA,  Sep 5, 2006

I have had this case for one month and I like it very much. It holds my notebook, papers, etc. I can take things with me and leave it in the car. No more carrying. It locks. It rolls. What more can you want. More space than I expected.

Good product but Handle needs a lock
from Rahway NJ,  May 22, 2009

The product is good but wheeled bag carriers know that sometimes you need to push forward instead of dragging it so that is when the handle lock plays an important role, because this bag handle does not have a lock it gives in when you try to push it. I should think that is the only draw back of the bag, otherwise it is a good buy. I advise you try to work on that in your future designs. Sylvester

Good except the flap
 from Xyzretll,  May 9, 2009

Very good for carrying lots of files to court, but only one top flap stays open by itself. Means I have to use one hand to hold it open, while I search for a file inside with the other.

great buy
from Slidell, LA,  Mar 21, 2009

I bought this product because I needed a mobile file cabinet for my new job. This product meets all my needs and then some. I personally wanted the hanging capability to hang files in it, but none I could find had that in it. This product was 50% less expensive than other stores I checked. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

Rolling Bag
from Milwaukee, WI,  Feb 5, 2009

Overall the bag is a good value for the price. I have had other, more expensive rolling bags that were not. The problems are that the handle is not entirely secure and easily folds in and the top flaps do not stay open. Both of these issues are inconvenient, but are easily worked around. More than likely I would buy the bag again unless I found one for the same price without those two problems.

Nice Piece of Luggage
from New York, NY,  Nov 11, 2008

This is exactly what I was hoping for. It is a nice case that can hold all of my papers and training materials. It is built very well and rolls well. I'm not sure, what the other reviewers were saying with the flap, but I haven't had any problems with it. The price and quality is great. Thanks for another great buy on Overstock.

Pilots Case
from Brenham, TX,  Jun 4, 2008

I did not realize when I bought the case that the handle does not have a locking mechanism on the handle extension. If you are pulling the bag on an incline the handle will fold in on its own. Also, it is impossible to push the bag for the same reason.

If Only It Lasted
from Raleigh, NCV,  May 12, 2008

Used on 2 trips -- at end of first, handle would not retract without opening case and manually depressing spring pin in handle. On second trip, spring pin in handle disappeared, and now handle comes completely off. If you want to carry by hand, ok, but if you'd like to roll, not so good.

An excellent case
from Rancho Santa Fe, CA,  Apr 22, 2008

"So far, so good." I have two other similar pilot cases (different brand), but since I'm often teaching 3 courses concurrently, I got tired of switching books and papers around. This was priced $20-30 cheaper than my other two, and is about an inch longer and wider -- both good selling points. I agree with those previous reviewers who criticized the design of the top flap. It doesn't stay folded back completely when loading the case. I carry a large rubber band and in a couple of seconds can attach the flap to the handle, holding the flap back until I finish loading. It's a minor inconvenience that I'm willing to endure for the price and size benefits. The outside compartments are useful. It's still too new to rate durability with any assurance, but the construction seems equivalent to the other two that have held up well for a couple of years. I like the case.

A good rolling case for the money
 from Florida,  Apr 5, 2008

A good case for the price...the negative is the top flaps dont open all the way and its harder to load. It looks good and its performing well so far.

How I would improve the Daxx Rolling Pilot's Case
from Southern California,  Feb 8, 2008

Overall: 4 1/2 stars I would make the shorter flap on the top of the case wider and/or more flexible, so it could fold back more easily and stay that way when the case is open. I would add another lateral divider on the inside; it, like the other lateral files, could lay flat if not in use, thus not really taking up any more room . I would add a heavy-duty snap to each of the lateral files inside so that they could be closed tight and not interfere when getting into the main cavity of the case. Most important!!! I would put a locking mechanism on the telescopic handle when in its full-extended position.

Pilot's Case
from Southeast FL,  Feb 4, 2008

Good value for the money. The case holds the things I need to transport for work. The case is heavy when empty and can be quite heavy when you have it filled with your papers, notebooks, etc. to lift in and out of the car. That is my only complaint...it is just a heavy case empty/full to lift.

What a steal!
from Des Moines, IA,  Jan 20, 2008

I know this is no premium case, but for the money and features... I just love it. I frequently have meetings to go to where I need to carry all of the same supplies around, and all the room inside this hard case provides me with a way to organize it all. It doesnt look like I spent $200 or anything, but I would say it does look nice and professional and I have recieved many compliments about it from others in the business. I love the extendable handle and the fact it rolls. As mentioned in some other reviews of this product, some had concerns about a weak handle, but it seems fine to me. The exterior pockets come in handy for a place to put my documents that I havent reviewed, or pamplets I pick up. Overall... I am really happy I went with this case.

Who Designed the Handle?
from Raleigh, NC,  Nov 1, 2007

I've just received the Daxx Case and am sending it back tomorrow. Just resting my wrist on the handle was enough to collapse it. It's a "drag only" bag because if you exert any positive force on the handle it collapses. The bag itself looks great BUT because of the POOR handle design, they should put this item on clearance (as in half of its current price). My advice is to spend a little extra money and buy a rolling bag with a sturdy handle that has a release button. Thanks Overstock for allowing me to return this item. Your customer support on the online chat was fantastic!
