Coleman roller bag
 from NH,  Nov 30, 2008

the Coleman roller bag is a good size and has many features that I like; however it has not withstood the baggage handelers at our nations airports. One of the end handles ripped out the stiching, the self-standing end plate gives a hard edge for the fabric to rub on and fray, also the zipper pulls are snapped together, several of them have fallen apart when they get caught on surfaces, edge of doors, etc. my last complaint are the wheels, they wear down quickly and the axels bend/or are loose so the wheels are tipped when they roll.

Too big for anything but airline travel!
from Denver, CO,  Apr 23, 2008

I got this bag to go to Italy. I knew I would be dragging it up stairs, around on the trains etc. I had read the other reviews and figured it's go for it. Since it is really big, you tend to fill it! I had it at 44 pounds and still had room! I'm only 5'4" so it was a little unwieldy to pick up. The top handle ended up losing some of it's stitching where it connected to the bag. I'm guessing due to the weight put on that top handle. The other bad thing was that it did not stand up on it's own. Unless you had the weight managed perfectly it fell over. I'll definitely use it for travel by plane, but not for europe! If you want this bag- go to the smaller size! The zippers stayed together and the bottom compartment came in handy.

Good Value But Heavy Final Weight
from San Jose, CA,  Feb 18, 2008

Looks great, lots of packing bells and whistles pockets, can pack plenty of stuff. Great durability on the first trip, especially the rolling over different terrain. Love the sturdy wheels and frame. Downside - Once packed with clothes, snorkeling equipment, etc., for a seven day Yucatan "roughing it" trip the duffel weighed too much - an extrra $50 to the airlines! The sturdy wheels and frame translated to a heavy empty duffel. But for the value it is a great buy and will need to rethink packing for the next trip.

Coleman Drop Bottom Rolling Duffle
from St. Louis, Mo,  Jan 19, 2008

I bought two of these duffle bags and they look very nice. The style is different with the drop bottom, I have never seen one like it. It holds alot. The handle works well. It was thrown around by the airlines and got a little nicked up, but the material is fairly heavy for the price. I would buy this product again and tell everyone that it is a good value.

I REALLY DO NOT GET THE LIGHTWEIGHT. COMPARED TO A SIMILAR BAG I OWN THAT IS MUCH BIGGER, IT IS VERY BOTTOM HEAVY. ALSO, YOU WOULD THINK IT WOULD HOLD ALOT OF STUFF, HOWEVER, IT IS NOT VERY DEEP. IT IS MADE VERY WELL AND LOOKS GOOD, BUT IF YOU WANT SOMETHING LIGHTWEIGHT THAT HOLDS ALOT OF STUFF, THIS ISN'T THE PRODUCT TO GET.

Not a Coleman
from Boston, MA,  Mar 1, 2011

I used this piece of luggage 2 times for my annual long trip and it weighed in under the 50lb limit. The third time I went to pack it and the handle was ripped badly. I liked the design and it was very user friendly and seemed sturdy. I trusted the Coleman name. I called Overstock even though it had been 21/2 years since I bought it, and they were great. But Coleman when called referred me to a manufacturer, travelers choice, who had made the luggage and said Coleman's 10 year warantee did not apply. I am very sad about the misuse of the Coleman name.

Coleman 30"
from Nampa, ID.,  Dec 18, 2009

First trip out, the wheel bent and the material is starting to rip on the left side of the bag. I fly twice a month and this 30" duffel will not last .

Coleman Lightweight Rolling Drop-bottom Duffel Bag
from Boston, MA,  Nov 18, 2009

This Duffel holds more than I needed for my trip. It also passed the weight and size requirements for 'checked baggage'. I packed for 10 days and the weight was only 40 lbs. I use the drop bottom for all of my shoes and my toiletries. The top was for all of my clothes and was able to fit in some extra things that I didn't even use. I did not rate it 5 stars because it does not stand up on end when it is full. Other than that, this bag is great for a week or longer vacation. The wheels handle great, very rugged.

Excellent Product
 from Midwesterner,  Sep 21, 2009

I purchased the duffel for a two week trip to Scotland. I like the division into upper and lower compartments. I allows for maintaining some organization of clothing on an extended trip since you don't have to root through everything to get to items on the bottom. Room was ample, handle and wheels worked well as promised. Construction looks good, and I expect a long life from it on a considerable number of overseas trips.

Coleman Rolling Duffel
from Oklahoma City, OK,  Jul 11, 2009

My wife being a petite person had no problems maneuvering the duffel through customs or the airport on her recent overseas trip. The bag is well balanced when packed and has numerous small compartments that can be accessed from the exterior. She also thinks the drop bottom compartment feature is great , preventing the unpacking of the entire bag for items in the bottom. Construction quality is exceptional and very sturdy for the price.

Way to go
from Durham, NC,  Dec 22, 2008

Great storage in both the drop down and upper duffle. The zippers in the case make for better access too. My brother and I were able to take on a 7 day trip with room to spare and meets weight limits of airlines with lbs to spare.

Easily accessible and packable. My son is using it for skiing and rugged travel. I will also add that the airlines has not yet been able to damage the bag - amazing!

Wonderful Duffel Bag
 from AZ,  Dec 3, 2008

With the new airline fees on luggage, this duffel bag is a great choice since provides maximum capacity up to the 50 lb limit. I took it to England once and to Colorado twice and do not have any problem with it at all. Great wheeled duffel bag from Coleman!

Well build Coleman bag
from Bronxville, NY,  Nov 13, 2008

This duffel is roomy, with multiple compartments for staying organized while traveling. It is sturdy and easy to wheel around. It's particularly easy to handle given its size. The side handle makes it easy to hoist the bag into your car truck without breaking your back!
