CalPak Zen 18-inch Multi-pocket Backpack

I found that this is a very well constructed back-pack and is a great buy for the price that I paid. It has a large main compartment for large books and documents along with multiple smaller zippered pockets that are easily accessible and are great for separating smaller items for easy locating. It is designed with side mesh pockets are able to accommodate standard water, sport drink bottles, or energy drinks for easy accessibility. The strapped loop hanger inside one of the smaller front compartments is very convenient for the use of snap hooks for keys. The shoulder straps are very well padded and comfortable and are heavily stitched at the connecting points which seems to a usual failure with other designs. I'm pretty tough on my work grips due to getting on and off locomotives, into transport vehicles, and just dropping bags wherever there is an open spot. One thing that I have done to modify its durability was to apply a spray water repellent (ScotchGuard) which has worked out well as long as you give the product a sufficient amount of time to dry. So if this holds out like it has for the first few months of use, it should be around for years.
