We have a food ministry with elementary age children in our town. We've used CalPak backpacks for over 2 years, and ordered new backpacks in the fall of 2011 to add to those we've been using. However, the backpacks shipped to us have almost all broken, with the handles coming off, no longer retracting or sticking in the down position. We are looking for 18" backpacks with enough strength to take a weekly trip with elementary age children, and continue to use some we started with over 2 years ago. What happened with these?
- How accurate was the sizing? accurate
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. we have used CalPak backpacks for 2 years, but this last two orders of backpacks were of a different, and much poorer, quality
- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? I believe the handle mechanism is a defect
The unit is easily manuevered when towing it by the handle, which has two heights it adjusts to. I can almost put the pack under the seats on both the bus and train I use to go to work. While spacious, I made a small error in the size, and should have gotten the next larger size, but that was my error, not a fault of the product.
