I have to lug an old, heavy laptop and files to and from work every day, and I have a one mile walk to work. This bag saves my back! The only negative is that the the flap blows up on windy days, but that's a minor issue.

Not sure I can be of much help here because I let this review slip through the cracks. I remember that it was well made but I had also ordered a 16 inch Olympia from O.CO at the same time and I ended up liking it better because it had lots of llittle pouches for electronic stuff. I know I remembered that the CalPak held more but I liked the organization of the Olympia. If you want open space, gofor the CalPak. It is a good product.

It's an awesome backpack! It's so comfortable! I carry many books, and with this backpack it's I can barely feel them. Im glad I made this purchase.

I am very impressed with this backpack. The construction is solid with smooth zipper action and roomy, well-blocked pockets. My MacBook Pro with hard cover protector fits nicely in the padded pocket. There is cushioned spine support and straps with a mesh pocket for an iPod. The pack includes 3 full size zippered pockets as well as several smaller ones, both zippered and open. Along with all the super structural details, it looks great.

My first reaction was that the bag looked a lot sturdier than I was expecting. The picture makes it seem more cute and heavy-duty. But, the material is very sturdy and very backpack like. I chose the gold color, and it is golder than the pale yellow depicted in the picture. I love all the pockets and storage space! Also, the strap is too small for my laptop, but it isn't a big deal. The laptop still fits in the padded pocket.

when my package was first arrived at my home i was very happy and then i opened it and i was even happier than i was before i opened it. but this is a pretty good labtop back it fits everything that i needed to. the color was a little diifferent, it was all grey but gold at the bottom when it was only suppose to be gold on the trim, but it was ok. but the strap doesnt cover my labtop.

I had a hard time choosing which calpak to order from overstock. I was in need of a large backpack that could be used for the gym, a carry- on bag for the airplane, and carrying stuff when I stay over at a friend's house. I chose this one on a whim and I am glad I did. It seems to be very good quality, feels heavy-duty, and is so comfortable even when stuffed with a lot of my belongings. I got the charcoal one and it looks pretty cool too, has yellow trim. For less than 30 bucks, it is a great deal. Arrived the day after I ordered it. wow.

This is a heavy duty backpack with lots of compartments that includes a very well padded one for your laptop. My only complaint is that the strap that holds the laptop in place is not long enough to go over the top of mine (which is a 15" screen), so I like to put a little extra padding so that it doesn't slide around too much. It looks exactly as it does in the picture. I use this backpack as my carry-on when I travel so of course I try to fit as much stuff as possible and this backpack holds alot of stuff!! It fits very comfortably on my shoulders and is not a burden to carry. I'm petite so I find it very difficult to find a pack that fits good. I'm very happy with it.
