This briefcase was just the right size for my son...we didn't want something too big, wanted it to be leather, and not real expensive. This fit the bill. (Just a side note for those interested: it is made in China of leather tanned in the U.S.). It may not be big enough for some laptops, but that wasn't what we needed it for.

I purchased 2 briefcases for my husband and this one is not quite as roomy as the other two buckle design. This one has a lovely tan color and he uses this briefcase when he wears brown.

This is a nicely made leather briefcase. It should be noted that it is more of a reddish brown than it appears in the photo. That was fine with me but if you are looking for a tan bag, this is not it. Great appearance and something a bit different than what you are usually left with as choices in this area.

This serves my purpose for back and forth to work to carry books, paperwork, etc. Cost was very good for a leather product. I only wish it had separate compartments inside, but I am using folders. Soft, not real stiff.

I bought this briefcase for my husband for a Christmas gift. He wanted something that will last a very long time and I think I found it. The briefcase had a classic look and style and he likes that he can wear the longer strap acrossed his chest or use the shorter handles to carry it. The quality is great. The color is a little different. I bought the 'tan' one. It's not an exact match with any of his tan shoes but he is okay with it.

Very nice product. Purchased the tan product and really like it. Like the soft leather and also the size of the brief case. Would highly recommend this product.

I ordered the brown bag but it came in a light tan color. It was in good shape and came in a protection bag. I would have much rathered it been the color it appears on the picture.

The quality, duability, and appearance far exceeded my expectations. Overstock sent me brown when I ordered tan. They were wonderful about sending out a tan bag. I had both in my possesion and decided I loved the Brown so I kept the original bag. Overstocks mistake worked to my advantage. Thank you Overstock!!!!!

I bought this bag as a present for my husband and he loves it! It's a nice, professional bag, and the tan color looks nice. I will say that it is a little larger than expected so pay close attention to the measurements. Nice bag for the price!

I purchased this briefcase in black a few weeks ago. Here are a few notes regarding my experience with the case: 1. The only construction issue I have is that the stitching on the leather pull tab located on top of the panel with the combination lock has come undone. The tab is still there but 1/2 of the stitching is lose. You cannot see it in the photos as it is covered by the flap. It is an easy fix, but should not have come undone after less than a month of daily use at the office and courthouse(s). 2. Combination lock on the black case (which I purchased) looks different from the Overstock photos. Not a deal breaker. The lock seems pointless as it would only take 10 tries for someone to unlock the case. 3. Lightweight - I had a McKlein Harrison briefcase, it was heavy compared to this case. 4. Interior - adequate pockets for your phone, slots for cards, 2 pens and another pocket for other items. The central divider has a zipper enclosure. There is no padding so a laptop would need to be put in a sleeve before being placed inside. The lining is basic nylon and not as "soft" as the lining found in other bags. Again, not a deal breaker for me. 5. Leather quality - the leather smelled great. The label says the leather is tanned in the US then shipped to China for assembly. The leather is not shiny, as one commenter wrote, it does appear to be worn and not brand new (not a deal breaker for me). If you want polished leather bags - look at a McKlein ($$) or Bosco ($$$). 6. Construction quality - besides what I mentioned in number 1, there are no other issues I have with the case. The stitching is even, no weird smells or stains, and the clasps and handles work as they should. 7. Bag stays open - unlike the McKlein Harrison - the hinges on the bag do stay open. This makes it easy to access the bag without having to continue opening and closing it. 8. Shipping and packaging - shipping was quick and the item is sent from California. The bag comes in a cloth bag inside a plastic bag. Overall - I am satisfied with the price, less than $$$ and the professional appearance.

I bought this brief case for my husband to replace the one I got for him over 30 years ago when we were going together. This one happened to be very similar to the one he had. I ordered the tan one which happens to look much better in person than in the picture. So far we are very pleased with the purchess. I guess only time will tell....I'll get back to you in another 30!!!!

You get what you pay for. The material is noticeably “Fake Leather.” The case itself is very stiff. If you are looking at the TAN, know that the color is much lighter then the picture depicts. It really does come with the letters [APC] on the front which looks to me like they were meant to be the “previous owners initials” instead of a LOGO or Brand Name - (I don’t like that nor can I figure out what it stands for). There is a lot of room in this case and it seems to be assembled nicely. Overall, I would have returned it had I not needed to PAY for return shipping. Decided to cut my losses and keep it. Now that I’m using it, it’s not so bad, but it is something that I settled with.

Pros: The bag is stunning, high-end and very sharp. Leather is a beautiful, rich color and just so soft. Excellent leather. Love the tan twill, style, wide width to carry heavy files, even lunch/beverage. Tons of pockets inside to separate your papers from business to personal. This is an extremely rich looking bag and made to perfection. Definately Europeon in style for both men and women. Now for the Cons: The lock. Unless I just got the whammy or not strong enough to close, the lock was a royal pain. Meaning to open, you push up the bottom tab of the brass lock (located on the main bag) to release the large leather flap. Then to close, you push the hinge on the large leather flap down on the brass lock and it should just lock into place. When I pushed down the hinge would not lock into place. Tried several times but it didn't work. Unfortunately, I had to send back with regrets. Maybe you'll have better luck. .... and if so, you'll have a wonderful, timeless bag for years to come.

I bought this bad for my husband and he loves it! It is so versatile - it looks good with anything he wears. It has a comfortable strap and very convenient pockets. It's also quite sturdy - very good quality. Really great bag!

I was a little nervous getting the bag. I felt the price was a bit cheap. Didn't think it could be top quality for that price. But i figured O has great return policy; worst case i return it and get a more expensive one. I was wrong great bag. On the first day using it I got 2 comments of how nice it was. You can tell it was made with quality in mind. Some nice accents you cant see in the picture, 2 big pockets covered by the flap. The inside also has leather pockets for cell phones a card sleeve for business/credit cards, also pen holders and another zip compartment could be used for paperwork. On the bottom there are brass feet to prevent the bag from getting dirty. I use it as a laptop bag and it works great. Only complaint is the brass locks (which look great) don't close on the first try. You have to fiddle with it for a couple of seconds; small price to pay for such a handsome bag. I think the bag looks even nicer in person. Seeing the bag I would easily pay 150.00 for it Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was cause of the locks. Other than that 100% satisfied.
