Bond Street Black Leather Lockable Briefcase

The ONLY reason I bought this brief was because I bought an expensive pair of ox-blood/burgundy colored brogues and needed the case for the once a week I would wear them. I ended up going to Coach and soaking the bag in leather moisturizer and reinforcing the bottom of the two inside sections. The leather is unacceptably thin and it has cracked and flaked on the bottom and outside folds. However, with a tin of burgundy shoe polish the flakings are not noticeable. With the leather moisturizer it no longer makes creaking noises when it is opened. When I took it out of the shipping box it looked like a dried, cupped carp on a beach. But now that it has been massaged into serviceability all I can say is that IF I had found a better made bag in the same color, I would not have bought this bag. And the shoulder strap is pitiful. I use a nylon web strap from another piece of luggage instead.

• How accurate was the sizing? accurate, but the strap was narrow and unusable.
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. some of the 'leather" has flaked off. the bottom is inappropriately thin and I put reinforcing tag board on the bottom of the internal sections.
• Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? the leather is tanned brittle in placees and some of the folds have cracked.
