I was pleased with the size and color of the backpack. The leather is ok also. The plastic fastener was the only thing that disappointed me, but it is still a great value for the money spent. Really large and holds a lot.

I was disappointed and returned the backpack. We had bought a jworld backpack before and loved it. This backpack would not stay up, it fell over- front heavy. The zipper pulls were elastic attached to plastic pull which broke quickly.

There must be mulitple manufacturers of this backpack considering the varying reviewer's satisfaction with the quality of the leather. The backpack I received has the initials "APC" stamped out of the zipper pulls. The backpack is EAXACTLY as described: it's brown, it's real leather, and the deminsions are exact (so get out a ruler to see how small/big it is before you buy). However... the backpack is no where near as nice as the picture suggests. The leather in the picture looks like a soft brushed leather like you'd find on a bomber jacket from Wilson's Leather. In reality, the leather on the backpack I received, while real, is a very cheap quality that almost looks plastic. The finish is subtly shiny. If I saw this on a shelf somewhere, I definitely would not have purchased it. I'm not returning the backpack because I'm too cheap to pay return shipping and restocking fees. I will use this backpack because it's the exact size for what I need to haul around. Who knows, maybe the leather will soften up and stop looking so plastic after I use it for awhile? I just wish it looked a little more classy.

We bought 2 of these J World bags 1 year ago for our girls to use in elementary school (2nd grade). We are fortunate to be able to walk to school (under 1 mile) but this means the bags have seen a lot of use. Sidewalk, streets, yards, over curbs, sticks and rocks - every day. All I can say is we've been very happy! These bags are 100 times better than anything from the typical catalog companies (particularly the ***...ones). Our neighbors all had those other bags, and within a few weeks the bottoms by the wheels were completely torn up and falling apart. Duct-tape city! The hard plastic bottom on these J-World bags is fantastic. And the wheels are super smooth and have never had an issue. All-in-all, this is a well-built bag. As much as we have loved these, they could still be improved. The water bottle pockets on the sides are too shallow for larger bottles, causing them to topple out if you're not careful. It's not something that happened everyday, but it does happen. Also, the plastic bottom is primarily on the front side (as seen in the pictures). On the back side by the wheels, the main fabric wraps down partway under the bag. It still has plastic underneath the fabric, but the fabric itself does get torn up a bit due to scrapes from curbs, etc. Nothing like the cheap bags, but still, they should just make the entire bottom plastic and skip the fabric there. Finally, be aware that these are big bags - compared to some of the 'kids' bags other students have, ours look over-sized and we've gotten a few comments like "geesh, what are you carrying in the that thing...it's only 2nd grade". But the size has never been an issue for our kids, and comes in handy during the winter when they need a place to stash gloves, scarves, sweaters, etc.

Purchased this rolling backpack for my middle-schooler. She's been using it for about 6 months. The lavender color is pretty vibrant and nice. All of my daughter's "stuff" has been fitting into the bag without a problem. We typically drive my daughter to school in the morning but she walks about a mile every school day with this bag over surburban sidewalks to get home in the afternoon. Not unexpectedly, the plastic wheels and bottom frame are showing some scuffing wear but there is no loss of functionality and the fabric still looks good. The handle seems to be working just fine, as well. I'm very impressed with the stability that the bag and the overall performance. I'm very happy with the price too. I searched a few websites and I found the lowest price from overstock.com. Nice!

Pack seems sturdy, 10 yr old son using it for 3 weeks now, bottom bolt broke thru the plastic casing, the pack is front heavy, always leans forward, tips forward, even though front compartment is not over full.

These rolling backpacks are a bit pricey for school, but this is the second year I have purchased one for my daughter. The backpack lasts the entire school year, and is great for a kid who carries way too many school books home every day. Excellent quality wheels, and the canvas is super durable. The plastic at the bottom protects my daughter from tearing it up and sctaching up the bottom. I would highly recommend this bag. It will last for a very long time. Plenty of pockets and a laptop protector as well. Great product!

I bought two of these for my forth graders and have have different opinions. One is working perfectly and the other broke the first day she used it. Now for the reason....She had the backpack sitting upright and decided she wanted to use it as a chair. The plastice piece on the bottom snapped off under her 60lb weight. Now the backpack will not stand up properly. I can not blame the manufacturer for this but wish the design was better. She still uses it and it rolls perfectly, it just doen't stand upright.

Unlike most combo rollaround/backpack's this one has a bar across the bottom which keeps the bag from touching the ground & getting filthy or wet, plus it keeps it from falling over so long as the backpack isn't packed too top-heavy. The fabric is thicker and looks nicer than cheaper bags I've had, plus it has a slight metallic sheen (I got the olive color) which gives it a real nice classy look. A hard plastic wall helps prevent crushing when bags have to be stacked in the belly of smaller aircraft that don't have large enough overhead bins. To & from airports I put all my important stuff like keys, coins, docs, camera, iPhone cables, iPad, in the backpack and zip it onto the rollaround bag. Waiting at the gate I can easily access my stuff yet keep both bags zipped together. When it's time to board I unzip the backpack and sling it over my shoulder, then wheel the rollaround & stuff it top handle-first into the overhead bin; fits perfectly everytime. The backpack fits under the front seat and I can reach everything I during flight. I'm glad I spent the extra bucks, this is an awesome bag.
