this leather backpack is actual better that i had expected it to be considering the price! i have been shopping for a leather backpack for some time but i couldn't bring myself to spend the money of the more costly versions at local retailers . . .the leather is soft but highly durable . . . it is spacious and provides outside pockets which help for those immediate needed or frequently used items we all carry with us . . .clearly this bag is spacious enough for a laptop and text books for a student, or the mounts of "accessories" every mom carries . . .the product is well made and durable . . . the only thing worth commenting on that is not as i would like are the straps have buckles which are ok . . . and they seem durable enough . . . but i don't think they would have been my first choice if i got to pick . . . (that's why only 4 stars)i love this bag . . . and so will you!

I ordered this backpack in the dark brown. The color was beautiful and looked more expensive than it was. I used the bag primarily for work in the beginning. I teach, so throwing in "extra" stuff is possible, plus I have both my hands free for my 4 year old. This backpack has also become my "Mom bag" since I have access to room and space for my stuff and his, and it looks way more stylish than carrying his Elmo bag around:) I loved purses at one time, but carrying one is silly since I have Mom stuff and my stuff to lug around, and with a 2nd baby on the way, this backpack will continue to get a lot of use! I love that it goes with all my nice shoes and boots too.

***** FIVE STARS!!! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!! We spent much time shopping for the right bag. So many choices, so many reviews... This bag is all we hoped for. Roomy, sturdy and the color is true to order details. It has outside pockets on sides and front for lots of "extras" to tuck inside like pens, etc. Granddaughter is thrilled. It is a bit big compared to her old over-the-shoulder bag, but she has lots of books in 7th grade and homework in almost all subjects this year, making the load close to 40 lbs. She struggles just to pick it up! The bag has double back wheels (4 total) and prop feet to keep the bag from tipping. I read many reviews of handles breaking, zippers tearing, etc. This bag is very well constructed and I expect she will get more than one year out of it even with serious use. She says."this bag is seriously amazing!" It even has a velcro outside back flap with an inside pouch and tie straps for a small laptop or tablet or quick to access book or notebook. It will be great for air traveling and will fit nicely in the overhead bins. Will return for follow-up review if it does not work as well as it first appears. The only thing I can see which may be a problem later is the top padded carry handle is stitched very well, but the nylon strapping does not continue down onto the bag for reinforcement. Hopefully the outside material of the bag will hold without tearing the fabric. However, if it does, I think I can easily repair and make it secure. Otherwise, the bag get top reviews from us.

The backpack is okay. I wished there was more room for more books. It fits about maybe 3-4 small books. With those in there, it doesn't fit my big binder. The laptop compartment took about half the space. I do like the extra pockets on the sides and in the front center pocket, there's pencil holders and stuff. Inside is all orange and the handle is not chrome. It's black. Thanks!

I purchased 4 to use as backpacks for a quadriplegic who is in a power chair. I purchase these and when they came in i ordered 4 more so I would be set for several years. He uses 2 bags on the back of his chair; one for his hygiene supplies and the other for straws, napkins, wallet, etc. We purchased the same size backpacks made out of nylon 5 years ago. Those were a great size, but they do NOT compare to these leather bags. These look classy compared the the vinyl bags and the leather will last several years per bag. We are set for 4 years!

I have this backpack because the Jumbo Leather backpack I bought from Amerileather through Overstock ripped within a few months. The drawstring just ripped in half. So, after seeing it was sold out and Overstock (sadly) couldn't fix the drawstring, I exchanged it for this one. This backpack is much smaller and although I do prefer the Jumbo backpack this style can hold many items. I can fit 4 notebooks, a pair of heeled boots, a small book, a drink, and an umbrella in it. If I'm lucky I may be able to squeeze a light jacket or a heavy scarf in there as well. I'm still sort of waiting for this backpack to fall apart, but the only problems I have now are the buckles. They come undone. The buckles you see on the backpack can be unbuckled and adjusted to size and for the most part, they unbuckle themselves. One time, the front buckle completely fell off and my friend had to tell me it was on the floor. It's not just the front buckle either, the pocket buckles do as well. This backpack is pretty worthless without the buckles so I'm a bit unhappy that they can come undone so easily because if I'm not paying attention, I could lose them. I also had a problem with the length of the straps. I went to a shoe store and had them punch extra holes into the leather because it just wasn't tight enough and the backpack was uncomfortable because it hang down my back. I give this a 4 because the design is really cute, but I don't think this brand really takes quality into account. Stylish design, yes, but they need to focus more on having the backpacks hold up to time.

This bag is everything I had hoped it would be. My HP ZBook(SM) measures 16 3/8" wide and 10 1/2" deep, and it is a snug fit in the space provided, but it is really not difficult to get it positioned properly. There is a nice, wide Velcro(SM) strap to secure the computer, and a handy compartment, with latching cross-straps to secure charger and other accessories, along with a couple of mesh pockets. There are three other storage areas, the largest of which I call the briefcase section, because it holds everything I had previously carried in a shoulder bag (which was too small for this size laptop). Numerous pockets and compartments, all of which are very usable. Selling points for me were the narrow aspect, which will facilitate rolling down an airplane aisle, and the fact that it should readily fit under an airplane seat, providing it is not overstuffed. The handle works quite nicely, and everything about this bag seems to be durable and well made. A surprising bonus is the rear compartment which houses shoulder straps, allowing the bag to be worn as a backpack. There is also a flap the extends and secures to cover the wheels when worn this way. There are also a couple of 4" by 8" side pockets, which zipper open wide and have mesh sides to keep the contents from spilling out. I use one for my phone charger, because it is so handy that way, and I am still working on finding a use for the other pocket. When full loaded, the bag is stable and has no tendency to tip over. Only when I remove the laptop does it get a little off-balance, but when I unlatch the front pocket and flip it over the top to access the "briefcase section", it is once again stable. I can see the quality of the construction and materials, so it should last a long time, so the fact that the bag is so functional, with more than enough storage for my needs is a great discovery. Of all the wheeled bags I looked at for 17" laptops, this is the only one I found that holds the computer with the widest aspect vertical, and that makes a big difference every day, just wheeling it around corners and through doorways. I am very happy with the value provided at this price point.

I brought this backpack for my 9 y/o son. The backpack was very sturdy, and was able to store a lot of his books. When he turned 10, we put away the backpack as he want something w/o wheels. The new back pack only lasted 4 months before the strap broke, so now he goes back to using his Rolling Backpack. It may not look as 'cool' as a strap backpack, but it is a lot more durable and cause less backpain. Would recommend this.

I bought this pack to be used as a 72 hour emergency pack for my wife. She had been using a nylon duffle but had a hard time carrying it. We selected this pack because it appeared to be light weight, water resistant with outside pockets. The sholder straps are adjustable and the waist and chest straps help to stablize the sholder straps. I would like to see about 4-5 more small out side pockets. This pack is stored in the trunck of oour car for emergency use.
