I am taking a seven-week geology/botany course that includes some fairly strenuous hiking. My school backpack was just too large and heavy, so I began the task of hunting for something smaller and lighter, but I also wanted something that had a bit of style. I was surprised at how difficult it was to find something to my taste that would get the job done. I knew a fashion backpack was out of the question (believe me, I TRIED to justify a beautiful yellow leather backpack/purse, but I came to my senses), but was style too much to ask for? Nope. I found this one, and I have really been enjoying it. I loved the look so much that bought two colors: red and beige. It functions just fine on these treks, which we take twice a week. It is lightweight and easy to slip on and off. Because of its smaller size, I am aware that I cannot overstuff it with unnecessary items, so I keep it fairly light, but when needed, it can hold a surprising amount. Yesterday, I had in it: one lightweight rain jacket; a crushable rain hat; a change of clothing, a small towel (we were told we might get wet on the hike), my wallet and a water bottle. Oh, and a small sketchpad. I won't always need the jacket, hat, change of clothes or towel, but it was a nice surprise that I could get all of that in there and still have the load light enough to walk and climb comfortably. Only downside for me is that there are no inner pockets, but the front outer pocket is roomy enough for pens, cell phone, etc. Haven't had to wash it yet, so I cannot speak to how durable it will be once put through the wash, but so far I am happy. Oh, and I like that I can go from class to running errands with this; it's that cute.

I love Purple and this is just like picture, HAS 1 strap and a zipper inside the bag, and a small cell phone case on side, so super cute. I'm getting one for my older sister for her b-day in October. Love this item!

I travel a lot and this bag was just what I needed. It has special pockets that are not in the pictures. A place for credit cards and cell phones! Nice surprise!

This backpack purse is equipped with a number of compartments. There is a place for your cell phone inside, there are also two ways you can open the main bag: either by unlatching the belt-like hook or just completely pulling the whole hook from the button. Very convenient & excellent material !

I was pleasantly surprised of the quality and professional look and utility of the back pack. It accomadated all of my requirements regarding its capacity to carry laptops, power cords, cell phones and batterey charger, and files. excellently priced.

I bought this backpack to use as my "man purse" in addition to my carry-on on an upcoming vacation. I will use it to hold sunglasses, passport, plane tickets, camera, maps, etc.... I do NOT plan to use it as a heavy-duty backpack. That being said, I am very pleased with the quality, size, comfortable fit of the strap, etc... Also, this trip is an "incentive" trip my staff and I earned from work, so I bought several and had our company logo stitched onto it. The fabric worked well with the stitching (which has been a problem in the past with some fabrics). I am not a fan of the "waist strap", but I will just keep it tight and out of the way, so it should not be a problem. Also, the "cell phone" pocket on the strap is only larg enough for a "basic phone", not a smart phone/iPhone/Droid. But it is a good spot for a pack of gum, chap stick, etc...

I love this bag. I've had it for over a year and use it all the time. It is a large bag, so great for women who like to keep a full purse or for traveling. I use the side pockets for my cell phone. It converts easily from shoulder bag to backpack. I bought the dark color. The leather is very soft and gets softer with continued use.

I know purses are now called handbags but what I really like is smallish backpack purses. This one replaces a smaller one that wore out. It is really a great size and very convenient with the zipper on the back side, which I use for normal access to the contents. Keys and sunglasses go in the front pockets and I keep the top cinched up. Like the cell phone pocket inside, too.

I purchased the "saddle" colored leather backpack and I absolutely LOVE it! The leather is thick, beautiful, and extremely durable. The bag is very well made, and it's lined in a nice, sturdy fabric. Yet, as thick as the leather is, the bag is not heavy. It's small enough to be flattering, yet not so small that you can't fit what you need in it. I have a full sized wallet, a case for my sunglasses, and an aluminum credit card wallet in the main compartment, and I keep cosmetics, etc, in the zippered pockets. There's an internal zippered pouch for small items, and 2 zippered pockets on the front. There's also a pocket on the back side where I keep my cell phone, passport, or anything else that I want to be able to get to, but I don't want others to be able to reach. There is a looped strap on the back as well, which is nice when you want to hang your purse up on a door or chair. The shoulder straps are thick enough to be comfortable, yet they're not ugly. The ultimate test was a day at Disneyland this week...easy on my back, easy to fit in the hanging nets in front of me on the Indiana Jones and Tower of Terror rides, and I was able to carry a cardigan, sunglass case, small wallet, and water bottle in the purse the whole day. I wish I bought 2 of these purses!! Best bag I've ever owned!
