I love this bag. I've had it for over a year and use it all the time. It is a large bag, so great for women who like to keep a full purse or for traveling. I use the side pockets for my cell phone. It converts easily from shoulder bag to backpack. I bought the dark color. The leather is very soft and gets softer with continued use.

This is a superb bag. it is exactly what I expected, perhaps more. It is nice enough for casual wear - yet durable and functional. I wanted a bag that could be a "purse," backpack and casual brief bag al in one. It serves all purposes. I was tired of using a traditional backpack and wanted something that looked nicer, but still had plenty of room without looking like a huge "purse." This bag really does the trick and easily converts to whatever I want it to be!

This is a quality travel pack suitable for traveling. I think it will be perfect for a trip abroad as it easily converts from backpack to wheels with a handle. Just remember to tuck in the backpack straps before you try to wheel it around so they don't get caught.

I purchased this bag because I commute via public transportation most days and I needed a professional looking bag that is capable of carrying everything I need for the day. This really fits the bill. It's very good quality, it has ample storage and compartments that are easy to access. My sole complaint is that the strap, which can be moved to convert from a messenger bag to a backpack, does not really function comfortably as a backpack and is rather difficult to adjust on the go. That said, I would still recommend this highly.

I got this backpack to transport my books and laptop for my graduate degree program. It's great for hauling my heavy gear all over campus without straining my back. It comfortably stores my laptop and keeps it separated from my textbooks so I can access it quickly. The three storage compartments store my books, snacks, and personal items that I use throughout the day. There's even a ring that I can hook my keys onto so I don't have to search around for them when I need them. My favorite feature is the handle, which expands and retracts easily & quickly and is strong and sturdy. The wheels roll smoothly over carpeting, asphalt, and even the sidewalk as I walk around campus. There's also a thick, reinforced strap on the top of the bag that I can just grab when I need to lift it up over a curb or some steps. And it even converts to a backpack with padded, adjustable straps. I don't often wear it on my back because the wheels are so convenient, but it works great for when it's raining and I want the pack to stay under my umbrella so my computer won't get wet. When you're not using the straps they zip into their own compartment so they don't get in the way. I love this backpack, and I'm really glad I bought it. It's perfect for any student who's got a lot to carry.

I needed a light day bag while traveling in Italy to carry my camera, water bottle, cell phone, passport, snacks and Kindle. I wanted a bag that could be hand carried, slung over my shoulder or converted to a back back and one that did not look like a woman's purse. The Adi Designs Leather Fliptop met my requirements and was priced right. I am pleased with the quality, spaciousness and flexibility. After seeing the bag, I decided to travel with it as my airline carry-on. My wife had also been looking for a bag for her own use and as soon as she saw mine she ordered one as well. By the way, the crinkle sound that some have complained of is inconsequential.

I used this for traveling and loved it. It handled great through airports, I was able to pull this with one hand and my luggage with the other with no problem. When I needed to convert to backpack, it took mere seconds to unzip and have the straps ready to put on. I bought the red color and after I placed the order was worried that it wouldn't look professional, but it arrived and I was really pleased with the color. It's a bit deeper than it appeared on my screen and I'm really pleased with the quality.

This convertible, sturdy design and construction of my original bag prompted this replacement purchase. This bag is only slightly different from my original bag; the new pocket placement on the interior of the bag causes a problem when zipping the bag closed. I cannot give a fair assessment until I have put the "new bag" to the true test - - three months with traveling, photo-shoots and a few movie sets. I will provide a more informed review then.

This backpack is perfect for my heavy nursing school books. The only 2 opportunities for the listing is:1. the color was not the same as what I saw online. the Blue is darker.2. to convert the bag to my back, the flap just hangs down and drags on the floor when I put the bag down. I wish there was a way to roll it in or take it off completely.Other than those 2 minor things, it is exactly what I was looking for.

I love this bag so much! I'm going backpacking in Europe this summer, but I don't want to look like a backpacker or tourist, so this is the bag that I chose to get. It's perfect. I can wear it on my side or cross body and the bag looks very cute worn that way. And if I want to wear it like a backpack, it's convertible, and I can wear it like that, and it looks cute that way too. There is A LOT of space inside the bag, and the lining of the bag is very nice. The side pockets are also spacious. Another reason I chose this bag was because of the pickpocket issue on other countries. I will feel safe with this bag. The buckles for the side pockets are the kind where you have to push a button in and then pull up to open that pocket, which is very nice. I won't put anything importnat in the side pockets, but knowing they're a little harder for wandering hands to slip into makes me feel better. And to open the main compartment of the bag you have to undo those same kind of buckles, open the flap, and the bag handles go through the flap, which makes it even harder for a pickpocket to open without you knowing. And then there is a zipper to the main compartment. I will feel safe knowing that someone can't just stick their hand under the flap and grab my stuff out of there easily, like other leather backpacks tend to be. The leather quality is way better than I expected. Its very soft, but at the same time, it's the kind of leather, that you can wipe down with a wet paper towel to clean it, and it looks like it would be fine in a short little rain shower. I might decided to waterproof it somehow, but if I don't, I think it'll be fine. I love the color of the bag too, it's perfect. I can't wait to take this bag to Europe for 3 months. Hopefully it will stand up to vigorous use, we'll see!

This was almost exactly what I wanted: plenty of room, yet still compact and easy to carry. I especially love the dual zipper straps that convert from sling to backpack style. However, I would have liked it even better if one of the front comprtments had an organizer section included (slots for cards, a pen, clip for keys, etc.) and if there were a smaller separate cell phone compartment. However, it was still a great buy for the price!

Very versatile, well-made and converts from roller to backpack easily

I bought 2 of these backpacks for my daughters to use on a family trip to Europe (5 cities). These backpacks were light even packed with 5 days worth of clothes, easy to convert to backpack mode when they had to be carried (up and down steps as well as onto the subways), and withstood rigorous rolling over all types of street terrains. Great sturdy wheeled backpacks! I'm still giving it 5 stars even though it had an occasional tipping problem when being pulled in a rush.

It is a very nice, good leather backpack. My only disappointment is with the straps. I had hoped to convert them to a single strap so I could carry it over my shoulder like an oversize purse. Unfortunately, the straps were not made so that this could be done. As a backpack, it is great but I needed it for a dual purpose. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.

I was very pleased with the quality and lightweightness of these bags. I carefully read over several reviews and decided to give this one a try. The wheels run smooth. Ample room for 6 or 7 assorted books, lunch bag, and snack bag. Water bottle holder on side sewn nicely and no early rips like ordinary backpacks. My 2 girls 6 and 8 really love them. I can't get them out of the door fast enough so they can get off and rolling. It can be converted easily to carry on the back with the wheel covers, and then very easy for them to tuck the straps back in and roll again. The handle to pick up the bag is also very strudy and sewn well to support alot of weight. They stand up very nicely and don't tip over . You'll be pleased and great price.
Have you ever been told to "take a hike?" Well, you no longer have to tie your gear to the end of a stick and carry it over your shoulder. Instead, you can choose the backpack that is best for the type of hike you want to take.
The time quickly arrives when your little baby is ready for a backpack. Shopping for a kid's backpack can be quite an adventure since you must balance practical needs with the cool factor your child -- and all of her friends -- demand. You'll want to consider a few different things depending on whether your kid's backpack will be used as a book bag for school or as a pack for overnight trips. But any way you and your child plan to use the backpack, you'll want to choose a stylish bag that will be able to stand up to the wear kids can inflict.
Most airlines allow flyers to bring a purse or backpack onto the plane in addition to their carry-on luggage. Wheeled backpacks are increasingly popular due to their large storage capacity and ease of transport. Others prefer smaller, convenient travel bags for their lightweight designs and easy access. Although both are excellent choices, they offer slightly different features to travelers. Before you choose whether wheeled backpacks or travel bags are best for you, consider their differences to make sure you pick the right one to fit your travel habits.
Imagine that you are planning a trip that will take you from the equator to Antarctica in seven days. Now imagine that you have to limit the amount of gear you pack to 35 pounds or less. The task is getting more complicated. What kind of luggage would you choose and how would you pack for a trip that encompasses such extreme changes in climate and altitude? When Erica Davis, a paraplegic athlete, and Tara Butcher, a physically challenged athlete, climb Africa's highest peak, they will have to answer exactly those questions. The challenge: Mount Kilimanjaro rises from nearly sea level all the way up to 19,330 feet. The trail climbs from the hot bushland through rain forest, moorland, alpine desert and arctic glaciers up to the rocky Uhuru peak. A climb like Mt. Kili presents special challenges when it comes to luggage, clothing and gear. Being prepared for the weather and temperature extremes is a necessity, but it's also important not to pack too much. There is a 35-pound weight limit to each piece of luggage carried by a porter. Most climbers pack one 35-pound capacity bag to go up with a porter and one small daypack to carry up themselves. The daypack: Erica and Tara will have 7 days to summit Tanzania's Mount Kilimanjaro. As they pass from one ecological zone to the next, their needs will change and so will the contents of their daypacks. Each day Erica and Tara will repack their daypacks in anticipation of the specific challenges of the day's journey. In general, their daypacks will include things like water, snacks, dry clothing, waterproof gear and sunscreen. The importance of keeping clothing and gear dry cannot be overstated. When choosing a daypack, a small to medium backpack made of lightweight, moisture-resistant material that comes with a removable waterproof shell will be ideal. It's also helpful if the backpack has convenient access to a water bottle compartment or can accommodate a water bladder. Plenty of pockets, zipper compartments and hooks are also handy. What to pack: A sturdy but lightweight water-repellant duffel bag with a capacity of about 35 pounds is ideal for the trek to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The bag needs to have room for plenty of layers of breathable, moisture-wicking clothing and layers of fleece clothing, as well as a waterproof layer. To save space, it's a good idea to pack clothing that does double duty, such as pants that easily convert into shorts. Aside from clothing, the climb will also require accessories like sunglasses, hats and gloves, plus equipment like trekking poles and a headlamp, as well as toiletries like sunscreen, insect repellent and a first-aid kit. Support the Challenged Athletes Foundation: Overstock.com and the C.H.E.K Institute are co-sponsoring Erica and Tara's climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in order to raise awareness for athletes with physical challenges who wish to participate and compete in sports. Portions of the proceeds will benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). CAF raises funds to give physically challenged athletes the opportunity to stay active and competitive in the sports they love.
