Just received my bag and there is no other word than beautiful to describe it. High quality seaming, Heavy buckles, nicely padded laptop storage section. No brass feet, so don't put it down on a wet surface, but with the shoulder strap included, you can avoid that. The bag expands and there is a back slash pocket. The buckles are for decoration, the closure mechanism is a more conventional slide in fastener. I ordered light brown and the version the I received was relatively dark. I don't know if it was a shipping mistake, or the picture is not accurate, but I am not displeased. The color that I received is a rich cognac color - very pleasing. I intend to give it to my son who is completing his masters program. He should be very pleased as well.

I purchased this bag and while its looks are good and the leater is clean, the buckles and straps on this bag are extremely flimsy. After less than 3 months of use the buckle that closes the bag came off the leater to reveal the buckle is only held to the leather with two very flimsy metal teeth that quickly tear through the leather. A huge and EXPENSIVE disappointment.

The receptacle for the buckle came off the leather on the second day which suggests quality control in manufacturing process could be an issue. Otherwise, appears like high quality leather and finishes are also good. Still trying to figure out where to get it repaired. Appears like a simple fix but need the tools.

Great Product that is very sturdy. I have only had it about two weeks but I use it everyday and cant say enough about it. Highly Recommended.

This bag is great! I bought this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend two years ago and it still looks brand new, despite two years worth of rough house daily use. We're talking laptop, cord, water bottle, heavy files, and textbooks every day and it's still going strong. Other than a defective shoulder clasp in the first week (Aston leather was great about replacing the entire strap free of charge. Called on Monday afternoon had the replacement strap by Tuesday morning) this bag has been great. Fits a lot of stuff and takes a beating and still comes out looking fresh. Defintely a great deal.

I bought the bag for my husband. He really likes it. The bag is very professional and can hold a lot of stuff. The only complaint he has is that the organizer pockets are not the best. They are in the back section and difficult to reach, but he needed a bag that could hold a lot and not look like a suitcase. Overall, we both really like the look and functionality of the bag.

I ordered the Brown in this case and it looks great. Very high quality, very sturdy, VERY roomy. I needed a very roomy bag so I can get my 15 inch laptop in as well as half my life that I travel with even for my regular work day. There's a padded removable sleeve for the laptop and the bag expands to 8 inches which is far more then most. It is a briefcase although it can be used as an extra travel bag because of the room in 3 seperate compartments. The color is beautiful and it looks very high quality. It really was a good buy. The shoulder strap is a bit thin when the bag is full and heavy but I can live with that. Overall a great looking, high quality, roomy case. I highly recommend it.

The briefcase looks great, the compartments are roomy, and the price was very attractive. But the case is much heavier than I expected, the clips that hold it shut are hard to use, and the leather is stiff. I am hoping that it will become more supple and easier to use as it breaks in.

I bought this leather briefcase for my husband upon his graduation from law school. The leather looks and feels great, and the bag is top quality. I looked on other websites, and the exact same model was selling for $200 more! Great buy!!!

My husband loved the first briefcase we got but the handle quickly deteriorated. Overstock was wonderful with the replacement but the finish of the second one was different (same color, different texture) and he didn't like the second one as much.. Overall the product is a great value. There was also no interior pockets with the second one. Not sure why they were different but we didn't bother with requesting a third (it might be really different!)

I bought this bag for my husband for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. It has plenty of room for his laptop (17" screen-but it doesn't fit in the protective sleeve that is included with the bag) as well as his other books and papers. The leather is beautiful - excellent quality. The bag looks very "manly" and professional. It feels great, and seems like it will be very durable.

The briefcase is very nice looking, the leather is a great quality. The closures are a bit hard to fasten (they click in) but they're not a deal breaker. I like the lifetime warranty that aston offers, however nothing about the warranty was included in the package.

Great brifcase. Makes me feel better every time I go to a meeting with it.

My husband was looking for a larger briefcase/laptop case that was stylish. This fit the bill. It's a nice quality and looks great. The only problem is the strap broke after one day's use. We contacted Aston Leather and they will fix the strap at no cost.

Gave this to my husband for his bday. He loved it. He specially liked the way the leather looked. He has gotten many compliments on it.

Very pleased with the case. Seems like a good value based on others that I have looked at in stores. Only wish that it had more zippered pockets. Leather looks great and very durable, I will be looking for it to soften a bit during the upcoming years. Very pleased and once again Overstock pulled through with super fast shipping and value. I bought this for my husband's birthday - he was so surprised with the quality. He was waiting on a new laptop, and he loved the briefcase so much that he was carrying it empty to work! It is rugged but refined, and we both love the heavy quality of the leather - it will age beautifully. The only small complaint is that sometimes it is hard to get the buckles undone, but other than that, we both love it - I wish I had bought one for myself!

Overall, I am very pleased with the Ashton Triple Compartment Briefcase. My laptap fits nicely in and is well protected. I am also very pleased with how it looks. Very traditional and professional. I only have two minor complaints. I wish there were more storage pockets for the incidentals (i.e. power cords, mouse, CDs etc.) and that the other two compartments expanded a little wider in order to hold larger files. But again, overall, I am very pleased with the product.

Holds laptop plus numerous trade magazines and newspapers. Pouches for tickets. glasses, pens also. Husband was pleased witht his and the brown color was a good choice. Hope latches on outside hold up. When overstuffed these are the first to fail.

This is very impressive. I have received a ton of compliments already.
