Check my review of the 22-inch expandable trolley companion piece -- I love this collection. I bought this as the companion to the trolley, and used it together with the trolley on one trip, and it was perfect. It has the right pocket configuration, strong construction, appropriate padding for my laptop, and enough room to add a few things for an overnight trip. Plus it has the great plum color that is easily seen on a baggage claim conveyor belt. I expect to use this piece for a long time.

After much research for the "perfect" carry-on, I am very pleased with my decision. This luggage is well constructed, with quality and details far exceeding the cost. My laptop and accessories are easily accessible and well-protected. The rich, deep plum color is distinctive, professional and feminine in the world of basic black or college student style bags. I also bought the "beauty case" and with the 2 pieces (and packable knits) can easily do a 3 day business trip. Both pieces have the strap on their backside that allow them to be secured on an extension handle of a larger case...I think you could piggy-back both on a 24" pullman or larger for extended trips.
