After much research for the "perfect" carry-on luggage set, I am very pleased with my decision. It is well constructed, with quality and details far exceeding the cost. The rich, deep plum color is distinctive and feminine without being "frou-frou." I also bought the 18" rolling carry-on bag; with the 2 pieces (and packable knits) can easily do a 3 day business trip. Both pieces have the strap on their backside that allow them to be secured on an extension handle of a larger case...I think you could piggy-back both on a 24" pullman or larger for extended trips.
