The leather on this bag is very nice. I would compare this to a 'Coach bag". You can give this as a gift or keep for yourself. The trim is canvas but I believe they did that so it could expand. It doesn't take away from the look so don't be discouraged. It is very spacious. It can hold your laptop or papers with room to spare. I have the cognac so I can't comment on the other colors.

I had been looking for a fashionable all "leather" bag to carry my 17" laptop back and forth to work in and this fits the bill! The side are actually canvas and I was concerned about that before purchasing it but being that I had a hard time finding a nice bag that would fit my laptop I ordered it anyway and I am very pleased. I love the way it feels, very soft. My laptop fits perfectly There is not much padding for the extra protection of your laptop however I keep mine in a neoporane sleeve anyway and it fits just fine. Also love the padded shoulderstrap, slimfit, extra pockets and the cognac color is lovely!

Great leather, but remember this bag has heavy-duty canvas sides and you won't be disappointed.

this was a gift for my husband. He's happy with it., i didn't realize the sides were not leather too. However, it is a very light weight folio.

I personally did not like the briefcase. The quality of it is not good at all and it is very plain. The (shorter) carry straps are very stiff and will not fold over nicely when you set the briefcase down. I would not recommend this briefcase at all.

I bought this item to use as a lap top bag quite some time ago...at least a couple of years, if not longer. It still looks brand new! I am so impressed! It easily accommodates the larger laptops too, plenty of pockets, and can be carried by hand or over the shoulder. It is very rugged, yet the leather is soft. It's the perfect laptop bag for a lady to carry. I got the brown one, and am tempted to buy the green one as well. Highly recommend, buy it-you won't be disappointed!

This product looks OK, however, it is not suited for use as a computer bag. It has no padding. Atlthough it is shown with a stap, it does not come with one. They have a note that comes with the bag telling you not to attach a strap even though there are hooks provided.

When I bought the bag there was NO bold "No shoulder strap included" on the ad. I called to be sure the shoulder strap was included and was assured it was....well, its not. The bag is not made for a shoulder strap - they send a warning disclaiming responsibility for bag tearing if you add your own shoulder strap. That being said, it was a really nice briefcase like bag - held my computer, notebook, files and my purse. I bought this to travel to an all day/evening interview and it was perfect - fit under the plane seat perfectly.

okay this is a nice compact bag with one problem its doesn't come with the strap shown on the picture nor does it recommend being used with a strap. That makes the bag not real useful for a mom trying to keep up with a two year old, a purse and a briefcase. With said I probably wouldn't recommend and I would go with something else. If you are looking for a nice briefcase to just carry then this one may be the one for you.

Although pictured with a shoulder strap, mine did not come with one. This is a deal-breaker for me.

I will not purchase anything else from the "O". I believe they misrepresent their products by picturing them with accessories that they do not come with.

Nice bag. It serves the purpose, as a everyday small portfolio. HOWEVER, as others have stated it is not all leather. Would have given it 5 stars if it was all leather. Have had this bag for less than 3 months and the canvas portion is starting to pull away from the leather. I do love the look of this bag, the green is awesome, but will go for an all leather option next time....

I purchased this for my school teacher daughter. She needed a well made leather portfolio to carry her lap top and her school papers. This MORE than amply fills her needs. It is very well made and comfortable to carry. It will also hold up to the abusive elements and still look good.

I am a little disappointed with the canvas sides and top. It doesn't show on the picture but overall I am pleased with product for the money.

I recently purchased this portfolio to replace one I've had for years. I like the shoulder strap, which helps me juggle multiple bags. The leather is a nice quality, and the bag is very roomy; I could fit a laptop and my work in there with no problem. I would definitely recommend this product.

The leather portfolio we received was even nicer than it appeared online. It was a graduation gift for a young lady and was something that we had trouble finding in the stores in our area. We were very pleased with the quality of the leather and of the look of the item.

I love this bag except for the fact that it can be difficult to zip up unless it's on a flat surface and completely straight. I struggle with the zipper while walking & riding the subway trying to grab my cell phone, keys, metro card, etc. Other than that, it's great. I love the color, it's very durable.
