major design flaw
there is no denying the quality of the leather this bag is made from. it is thick, strong and very supple. the bag looks amazing, the espresso color i chose is somewhat lighter and brighter than pictured, but i still preferred the brown. the one huge drawback is an obvious design flaw in the closure mechanism. there are small magnetic dots beneath the large buckles that do not hold the flaps closed as soon as the bag is lifted by the strap. i've tried adding neodymium (ultra strong) magnets but it still won't stay closed. i have decided that the real flaw is that the leather flaps are just not long enough to allow some slack when the bad is lifted. what a shame, i literally shopped for years for a new leather bag, and this one is gonna need some professional help to be of practical use.

Not what it looks like
First, the magnets do not support the closure of the bag when you have stuff in it. Second, it looks like pleather and its much bigger, the bag is floopy when folded down with no support. Third, I have been a loyal customer of O Stock for years and I love shopping on this sight. I purchase a ton of stuff with more than satisfying results, its a great place to shop but I returned this bag and they had the gawl to deduct 7 bucks for my return shipping. Beware before you purchase, if your not sure about something DON"T BUY IT OR THEY'LL CHARGE TO RETURN!

hard to get closure magnets to close
Overall, a good bag. I would have liked the clasps to close more easily. If you fill the bag so that the top is upright rather than the second flap falling over normally, when you carry as a shoulder bag rather than a backpack, it hangs funny with the top clasp sort of dangling awkwardly in behidn.

I like this purse/backpack. It is a little larger than I really wanted but like that I can switch between a one handled bag or a back pack. It is a pretty heavy bag empty so you may not want to put a lot of heavy stuff in it if you are only going to carry it on your shoulder. Like someone else mentioned the magnetic snaps don't stay real well all the time. The could be bigger or stronger if that is possible.

Perfect
I ordered this bag and I have to say it looks amazing folded down in the backpack position. When I need it to hold a lot of things the unfolded option will come in handy but it looks much better folded. It is the perfect size. I looks sleek and expensive. I have another amerileather backpack and the leather quality of this one is much better it is as soft as a coach bag.
