The Cognac is actually burgundy, it even says burgundy on the box. Cognac is supposed to be a dark brown. I do like the feel of the leather and the bag in general, so I ordered it again in black. The only thing I don't like is that the zipper is placed awkwardly so that the tail end of it hangs in the bag and blocks a good 1-2 inches of width. This makes it really hard for me to get my 13'' Macbook Pro in there without scratching it. I think I might just cut off the zipper entirely.

The purse is well made. It holds a lot and has several small pockets inside. It has a zipper across the outside top and one in the middle compartment, which is good for security. I purchased the black one and the color of the stitching (kind of a tan) does cheapen the appearance a little. The real downside of this purse was the poor job done on dying the leather. I sat the purse on the top shelf of the closet. Upon removing it from the shelf, I found black dye on the wall where it had rested. I took a cloth and rubbed the purse and lots of dye came off on the cloth. I spent a lot of time using a leather conditioner cleaning it and eventually it was cleaned-up. I don't know if all the purses are like that, but I definitely had a problem with mine. Overall - it is a nice tote, but not sure it was worth the trouble.

The main reason this item was ordered was because you could lock the tote bag. Guess what - you can't lock it. The lock is just for show. There is no way to lock the bag. I would have purchased something different that does lock, but too late now. Besides not locking, the bag is very nice and durable. I don't recommend this purchase unless you don't care about the lock.

i was very happy to see the handsome ad well tailored look of the bag. Even though it looked like it would be flat and not too wide, it is actually quite spacious. Also, Love the cell phone pocket, the lipstick pocket and the key ring snap....now i dont have to fumble for my parking voucher and my car keys with hands full of shopping bags. loving it, I am surely going to buy more from this brand!

This bag is leather with 2 big deep pockets with a zipper pocket in the middle and a spot for your cell phone and other misc pockets inside for an easy reach of importanr items. I have gotten lots of compliments and would reccomend this product. I got the wine color and it is very close to the photo. the only thing is i wish the handles were just a little longer but that is all. definately worth the money.

I bought this to replace another bag I had been using to carry papers back and forth to work. The other bag was made out of a plastic-type material that began to split in each of the corners. I wanted something that looked professional and would stand the test of time so I looked for leather. I LOVE THIS BAG! It is solid and has nice detailing that makes it a serious, yet stylish accessory for business. I bought the cognac color which is quite a bit more red than it looked--but I love it! This is a good bag and you can't beat the price (I even looked at the same bag from the retailer--Overstock rocks)!
