I loved this jewelry roll upon first glance and as I was putting my jewelry in all of the various compartments. However, once I arrived at my destination, I discovered that all of my silver jewelry (which is the majority of my collection) was severly tarnished and had to be cleaned before I could wear any of it. I don't know if it was some chemical in the leather that did this, but the roll is now useless to me and I wil be returning it. I was very disappointed.

This bag is certainly convenient and the compartments are great for separating your jewelry items. My big problem was that after only 3 days in the bag ALL sterling silver inside tarnished badly. I cannot recommend a jewelry travel bag that can only be used for certain items.

I got the beige one reading the reviews of the staining. It's not the color, it's the chemicals the use to preserve the leather. If you planing on using it for any gold or silver- don't buy it. I went on a 5 day trip and did not fit all of my jewelry in. If you have pearls - way to small. I returned it.

I bought this a year ago and just recently used it to store my Tiffany silver jewelry. I opened it up today and was mortified to see how BLACK my silver jewelry had become!!! It was not stored for very long and the jewelry was stored with its original Tiffany pouches. I have never seen my Tiffany silver jewelry turn this black and in fact I will probably have to take it to be professionally cleaned to get it where it was originally. I was unaware of this until today and I wanted to alert whomever purchases this item to not use it to store your precious silver pieces.

I recently purchase the jewelry roll before I went on a cruise. Attire for the cruise varied from day to day and from event to event so I wanted to make sure that I was able to bring jewelry to suit each and every outfit and occasion. I was very pleased with the jewelry roll because I could fit a great deal inside of it and when I rolled it up, it fit nicely at the bottom of my purse. (I did not want to check it in my suitcase for the fear of theft) When I packed for the trip I went through my collection and chose some nice things (real things!) and some costume things to bring with me. By the time I got on the ship, all of my costume jewelry was tarnished due to the leather interior of roll. I was not aware that leather tarinshed silver and other metals, so I was only able to wear my nicer pieces of jewelry while on the cruise. This of course was not a major problem and did not change the nature of my trip....I just wish I could have worn the jewelry that I chose to bring with the outfit that I chose to go with it!!

I travel alot in my job and bought one of these for myself and both of my daughters. We all love them, they are an incredible value as others of this type cost much more. The quality of both the leather and construction are very good, they hold lots of jewelry and I would highly recommend to anyone needing a product of this type.

On my first order of two jewelry rolls I was really impressed by the quality and workmanship of the product. So I re-ordered as I thought they'd make good Christmas presents. However I was extremely disappointed this time by the quality of the leather which was very poor. It looked like they'd now taken old crinkly inferior leather in order to cut costs and crank out more stock. I would not recommend this product if this is how they intend to continue to manufacture this item.

I bought several of these leather jewelry rolls as gifts for my friends. I have seen them at various other websites for much more money and was delighted to find them at overstock. The leather is a nice quality. The colors are nice. I ordered the lime, turquoise, brown and tan. The inside is nice with a good amount of pockets. Please be aware that the inside is suade not felt or velvet. However, I used mine over thanksgiving and was sad to see that it leather on the inside of the roll tarnished some (not all) of my sterling jewelry. The jewelry was easily cleaned but now I plan of putting my sterling in little felt pouches.

This is the ONLY product that I have purchased from Overstock that I would NOT recommend. I purchased the black roll, and it turned all of my Sterling Silver black. Totally tarnished my jewelry. I have a silver polish rag, but it hasn't done the trick. I am bringing my Sterling pieces to a jeweler to see what a professional can do.

I received this as a gift & was thrilled with the appearance & capacity of this jewelry roll. I was shocked at how quickly it turned my sterling silver jewelry to BLACK--not just mild tarnishing. Another reviewer claimed this occurred overnight, but I stored my jewelry in it for at least 3-4 weeks. It took hours of polishing to attempt to restore the jewelry to the original shine--several pieces never did clean up as well as I wished! I've used cloth jewelry rolls for years w/o any problems. I still use this for travel because it holds so much but I remove the jewery as soon as I get to my destination. Too bad it is very well made...but flawed so it gets a 2 star rating.

Thsi is just what I was looking for. I did not want one that ties and although I would prefer a more secure closure, this one moves around the case but does not jeopardize the safety of your jewelry. It has a roll for your rings and holes to hang your earrings securly and several other pockets to protect your necklaces, bracelets, ect. Highly recommend!

I feel that if I were to use this item for its intended purpose it would be destroyed after one trip. The design of the closure is awful, because it closes like a belt and the "leather" used makes this a poor product. When I received it the "leather" was curled over at the closure and I was afraid I wouldn't get it closed again to repackage and return.

I had never known that so much jewelry could be organized and placed in one carrier. I took it to Florida with matching jewelry for 10 outfits and didn't have any trouble loosing anything or try to hunt for a particular ring or bracelet.

It is a nice product, but I thought it would be a little bigger and able to roll up necklaces. It is quite small, but seems to be good quality.
