Unbelievable Bag!!
from New York, NY,  Nov 12, 2008

I travel 30 weeks out of the year and almost live out of bags. Since traveling today has changed so much I needed a bag that has almost no weight to it and that keeps expanding. This A.Saks bag (this is my 4 product from the A.Saks On The Go Line) is so rugged and I use it all the time. The wheels roll easily, and it has an extra zipper on top to expand it when I need more room. It also folds flat which is great for me when I am home because I live in New York City and I need all the room I can get. This Rolling Duffle packs like a suitcase and has a piggy back feature on the front so I can attach my laptop briefcase to the front. Also, the handle system retracts into a zipper so the airline people who throw bags around cannot throw it from the handle and break it off.GREAT BAG!!!!

Outstanding lightweight and STUFFABLE
from Danville, CA,  Oct 21, 2011

I bought this bag for 5th grade camp for my son. They're away for a week and he had to have a bag he could manage all by himself. This bag carried all his gear plus a sleeping bag and pillow. He wheeled it to and from the bus - no worries. He said it took 4 to re-stuff it for the trip home -- but it held up and took everything. I would strongly recommend this very light weight but sturdy bag. It is true - the sides will not stand up on their own while you're packing. Very minor inconvenience compared to the weight and volume of the bag. If you're considering it - buy it.

Good alternative to traditional luggage.
from Tulsa, OK,  May 8, 2011

This product is so lightweight - one of the attractive characteristics. Most luggage is heavy before anything is packed! The fabric is sturdy and durable. The compartment is ample - allowing packing without too many folds. Straps inside secure contents. Two outside zip pockets included. The pull-up handle is well-padded and substantial. We bought two of these for a month-long European and cruise vacation.

  • Did the product fit true to size? Yes
  • How is the quality of the product? Excellent
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Yes

Great Buy
from Clearwater, FL,  Apr 3, 2012

When the item arrived with its original price tag (nearly $300), it was easy to see why. The high quality in design and manufacture was obvious. It just had the complete look and feel of an upscale product. This bag is HUGE! I would suggest that you physically draw out the dimensions of the bag to determine whether it is in fact TOO big. It is quite light in weight, and with the wheels and shoulder strap/handles (very few duffle luggage bags have shoulder straps), it should be maneuverable for most people.

A.Saks 31-inch Expandable Rolling Duffel Bag
from New Jersey,  Mar 25, 2012

We really took our time looking for the "perfect" bag. We travel for 2 weeks at a time. We wanted something that was lightweight, which this is, and sturdy, which this seems to be. Also, a big selling point for us was that the bag has front stands so it will stand up alone when you are in line etc. The back wheels are a plus also. All in all, I would say we have found a perfect product in this bag.

  • How accurate was the sizing? A bit bigger than I thought but the measurements are what I need for the plane, so bigger is better.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Seems to be made of sturdy durable material. I like that it is expandable which is unusual for a duffle bag
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? So far as I can tell, it is.

Can hold almost anything, but nylon tore easily
from Columbus, Ohio,  Mar 4, 2012

I would only recommend this if you use packing cubes for your clothing, because the sides and top are fully expandable/compressible. With packing cubes, you can organize your clothes and other items, and they will stay as packed. I travel a lot on construction missions where I need to pack heavy tools. I pack those in heavy canvas bags first, and put the canvas bag in the A.Saks bag to ensure they will travel well. The bag handled well to Guatemala and within Guatemala, but on the return flight, the bag was torn badly in two difference places which leads me to believe that their 420 Denier Nylon needs to be upgraded to 1000 Denier Nylon or more.

  • How accurate was the sizing? Sizing is perfect and with its formless sides it can really accommodate anything you'd want to pack
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. It appears to be made well, but I just used it for the first time for a two week trip to Guatemala. On the flight back, the nylon side was ripped badly in two places
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Yes

Expandable Duffel Bag
from Birmingham, AL,  Dec 6, 2011

A real plus for this bag is the amount it will hold. I did get to pack it but since our trip was cancelled, didn't get to see how it would hold up during airline handling. (they can tear up almost anything) I loved the light weight since the airlines have tightened up their restrictions. When we get to use it, I might upgrade to a five star rating if it holds up well.

  • How accurate was the sizing? Very Good
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Product seems to be of good quality.

Love It!
from Canyon Country CA,  Feb 7, 2011

Researched and researched what lightweight rolling duffel to buy. We are going on a monthlong trip to Italy and France so I needed something spacious and really light -- this is it! My husband, Mr. Picky Luggage Guy, is having me order one for him -- that is the highest compliment I can give this bag!

I like the expandable feature of this bag very much! It also do not take-up much storage room; this bag collaspes easily when nothing is paked in it. This is very helpful because we need the extra space the bag makes available. YEA!!! The outside of the bag is attractive; it appears durable ... for sure.

perfect
from Sant Fe traveler,  Mar 29, 2010

Well, everybody has already expressed how roomy this bag is. But check this out! My wife had a stroke a while back and has found it difficult to sleep anywhere but on her own bed. No, we haven't quite been able to fit her bed into this bag . . . but a 36" x 70" x 1.5" mattress pad does roll up and cram in there pretty well. As a matter of fact, there is plenty of room to include a pillow, shoes, essentials, and a few days worth of clothes, too! Now she can travel with me.

31" Duffle Bag
from NW Arkansas,  Feb 17, 2010

Very good quality, arrived in timely fashion and very pleased with it. It was a tad larger than anticipated, but true to size that was advertised. I am a satisfied customer of Overstock and without hesitation will order other things from them.

good duffel...not great
from Jersey shore, NJ,  Dec 29, 2009

Bought this for my husband to replace his well worn duffel. The size is the largest allowable for checked luggage, w/o an extra charge. It is lightweight and collapsable. However, because of those features, it doesn't stay open to pack...it collapses in on itself until full enough to fill out, unlike his former duffel. Overall, a good value for the price and objective.

HUGE!
from NO. CA,  Aug 6, 2009

This duffle is exactly what I hoped it would be. Construction is sturdy. The biggest challenge will be to keep it under weight restrictions as it hold SO much. The velcro attaching the handles together is very strong and the bright yellow will make it easy to spot on the baggage turnstile.

rolling duffle bag
 from California,  Jun 30, 2009

My husband went on a fishing trip in Alaska & we bought this bad for this trip. Duffle bags are lightweight, thus you can take more clothes without being overweight. It also rolls, which is awesome for a duffle back. He loved this bag. It looks good and is very sturdy. Yes...I would recommend this bag to anyone. I might even get myself one.

Great for a "just in case" packer like me.
 from Massachusetts,  Jun 29, 2009

I usually pack two outfits per day and two for each night. One in case of warm weather one for cool. Two shoes for each and a choice of jackets /sweaters. It's awful really. I end up bring a TON of possessions for a four day stay and use just about everything. How did the pioneers get by with so little? This VERY fine rolling duffle can really take my demands, all while looking smart, feeling smooth, and being light weight (compared to my old one). Overstock did a wonderful job of getting it right to me and at a great price. I am very happy to have this luggage. It will take many years of my stuffing it to the gills.
