Bought mine a maybe 5 years ago. I've used it quite a bit (for about 8 months I was living 1/2 way across the country from where I worked and flew twice a week). Its taken quite a beating and held up fairly well. The metal fixtures are a little cheap and broke down after about a year, but changing them out didn't cost much. The leather is high quality and the stitching strong. What others have said about balance is true. When its full you have to find something to lean it against because it will fall.I abused mine repeatedly over the last 5 years by using it's handle to support a very large heavy canvas duffle bag (rather than carrying it). Finally the weight of it warped the expandable handle making it difficult to expand or collapse. But considering the abuse it held up fairly well
I purchased this piece of luggage a little over 3 years ago. The leather is an excellent quailty and overall it is a very handsome piece of luggage. I opted for this piece, as it met the airline requirment of carry on luggage and there is in fact no difficulty using it as such. The unit is able to handle enough items to accomodate a carefully packed week for a summer vacation. I do not use the laptop pocket for a computer, but it seems like it would be suitable for this so long as you recognize not to smash it into something. I am tall and the handle is long enough for me to comfortably wheel it around, the wheels work effortlessly, and it is easy to navigate through an airport. The handle collapse down also. I agree with another review that it blends in with all of the other luggage, but I put a bright luggage tag on it and it is always used as a carry on so it is not an issue. The interior is well desgined and quality made. I have really jammed this thing full, and the zippers, seams, etc. have held up beautifully. The pockets are thoughtful and well designed; they are plentiful but not a useless loss of packing space. The suitcase itself is fairly heavy given it's size, but it is from the leather being such a well constructed weight. I am always able to roll it everywhere, so the little added weight when compared to a nylon unit is not an issue. The quality is worth the weight also. I do not use the lock on the unit, so I cannot comment on the sturdiness of that feature. It is typical of most suitcases though. I rated this as a good value, but that is at the price I paid for it years ago. I have not recently researched prices so I am not sure if that still holds true. I would pay the higher price found today though. It still looks as fantastic as it did when I used it the first time! You will not regret this purchase.

Good quality leather and well constructed but not well balanced. It tended to fall flat when let go of during my first travel experience, a bit of a hassle.

This carry on is very good except for 2 negatives. 1. The front legs are too short and the case tips over whenever it is full. 2. The front flap should be zippered around to prevent it from being folded back when putting inside an overhead bin. I'm thinking of installing velcro on the corners of the flap.

It is so great. It is the perfect size that I need and it matches my leather luggage that I ordered before this. It arrived 2 days before my travel to Vermont this past weekend and I feel like a millionare travelling in 1st class.
