I was surprised by how heavy and solid this box was. It is my first watch box, but I am happy I chose it. The case itself is padded with a very nice faux leather. The inside is covered in a soft grey cloth and the pillows are a nice size, but are not large enough to snuggly hold watches with larger bracelet bands. That's okay though, since the watch and pillow nestle into the slots. It all works quite well. My only negative is that the lace ribbon that stops the lid from folding all the way back simply folds down into the case when closed sometimes laying over the watch in the leftmost slot. It certainly doesn't harm the watch and is by no means a deal breaker, its just something I noticed when looking this over. The locking mechanism is neat. It can left completely unlocked, snapped shut, or snapped AND locked via a key. I like that system and the little key is right at home on my key ring. Overall, this is a great and classy accessory.
