Wittnauer Women's Astor Two-tone Stainless Steel Watch

This is my first Wittnauer watch. I really like the two-tone silver and gold look. I also like how the watch is fully enclosed, so if you accidentally open up the watch you won’t lose it. I also like how the metal piece behind the clasp is relatively small. I have a cheaper name-brand watch which has a very large metal piece behind the clasp, and this causes the watch to not lie as nicely on my wrist as the Wittnauer. My wrist measures approximately 6.5 inches, so I had my husband remove four of the links for a better fit. The watch did not come with directions on how to do this, so I just looked up on the internet how to remove links from watches. I wasn’t strong enough to get the pins out, but my husband could. If you aren’t brave enough to tackle it yourself, and don’t want to take any chances on scratching your watch, I would recommend going to a jeweler. Another option is to order one of those watch pin removal tools from the internet. They are very inexpensive. Directions are included on how to set the day and time. Basically, you pull the crown out all the way to set the time, and only half way out to set the day. You do need to follow the direction though so you can establish midnight to have your date advance at the correct time. The watch has a 31 day cycle, so at the end of each month without 31 days you will need to adjust the date.
