It didn't have any major defects, there were a few marks on the wood from shipping that are only visible if you look at an odd angle, just because they are more shiny from rubbing or something on the box/foam. Nothing was broken, damaged, or scratched from shipping though.Looks very nice with the dark wood, velvet inside is nice offset. Larger even than it looks in the photo, plenty of storage space. Drawers slide easily. Only complaint I have is the little wood separators in a couple of the drawers are very flimsy and break easily if accidentally pushed on at all, but the rest of the jewelry box is very sturdy.I was happy with it. It is what I was looking for, and a good value find, should last a very long time.

The Jewelry box is heavy, very solid and well made, and it looks nice too. It's bigger than I expected which is a plus. It has a strong odor of paint and glue like most new furniture do, so I left it in the garage to air out. Can't wait to use it.

pretty but when arrived- 3 of the knobs had fallen off- one of the screws for the knobs got stuck inside the front drawer and was very hard to fix, had several knicks on it.

Overall the item was very nice. It did arrive with two of the knobs not attached. I had to dismantle one of the drawers in order to fix it. It did arrive quickly.

I've been searching for just the right jewelry box for a long, long time. Now my search is over. I like this jewelry box because it is simple, well made, and also has a classy look about it. It has a lot of room for all the jewelry I've accumulated over the years, and I like the idea of having dividers to separate pieces so you can see each one very clearly. The dividers can also be taken out if you don't wish to use them. I think you'll find that the photo is very accurate. Overall, this item meets all my needs, and I would definitely recommend it to my friends. I'm thinking of purchasing the smaller version of this box for my daughter.

The shipment was next day and caught me by surprise at how fast that was. The jewelry box is well made and very sturdy. There are a variety of sections to place different pieces which was very pleasing since it was hard to see that in the photograph. It is a pretty piece to display as well. Happy I could organize my jewelry and have it all in one place.

I was looking for a jewelry box that would hold all of my jewelry and also go with my style in my apartment. That's exactly what I got! The wood is a nice dark brown color and the knobs are muted silver. The photo doesn't do the box justice with how much space it has. My only complaint is how deep the drawers are. Some of my jewelry is too tall and gets caught when I open the drawers. Also, don't plan on keeping any of your jewelry in it's boxes and putting it inside this. It won't fit! Overall, I would recommended this box if you have a large amount of jewelry and you want it in one central place.

Unfortunately there is no category for workmanship. I would have to have given it only 3 or 4 stars. The jewelry box arrived with loose and detatched drawer pulls (that were easily replaced once located) and there is a small nick in the wood (covered quickly with marker). With these exceptions, the box is beautiful and very functional. It is a very good value for the money and suits my needs well. I would recommend this to a friend.
