Just got the Watch. Fit and Dial finish are excellent. Few additions to Overstock's blurbs. First off, it is not a GMT, the pointer around it and the numbers on the peripheral dial are a Valjoux 7751 Pointer date. (Important to know as Ventura went out of buisness, but this is a movement used in IWC Chronos and other thiving brands, for future servicing purposes.)The Movement on the back is decorated very nicely, and not just the pendulum either. The sapphire is coated with anti-glare material. Also the 9 oclock sub dial has the second hand and a 24hr "military time" hand (smaller thicker one), which is helpful for setting the date, as the watch will change date at 12am, not pm. The band is comfy and made of soft, thick rubber, which (believe it or not) smells really nice and not rubbery at all... The Clasp mechanism seems a bit chinzy but when the watch is all buttoned up it looks good (hiding a few steel bits). The hidden deployment clasp is hardened Titanium as well and has a "V" on it with small letters under it saying: "ventura design on time" all engraved nicely. I could not find any photos of the clasp on the internet, so I mentioned it. The watch is indeed very scratch resistant (titanox) as I, indeed should have scratched the clasp a few times already, but nothing. The watch sits up high on the wrist and has a thick appearance. It is nice and light and comfortable. It is keeping impeccable time, despite that fact it was probably made in 2004... The box and instruction manual are both kinda worthless, though the COSC certificate is nice. It refers to the movment number which you will find under the pendulum on the arm extending towards 12... The watch is not flashy but all the poitners and subdials line up impeccably. They described it right when they said it is understated, sober and futuristic and well built. It is no nonsense/military looking.. No one but you will know what you paid for it unless they know watches, which makes it kinda cool. We'll see what these ventura's are worth in the future, but for now it is a good price given the movment, decorations, high tech materials, and good fit and finish on the case (not so much the clasp), which you will know given the fact that you will likely have done obsessive research prior to buying...
