This will make a great gift in the fancy red box. The red dial roman numeral date watch is much better looking than the photo captures. It is a good size square watch and requires a above average size wrist to look right. I have an 8.5" wrist and the rubber band fit nicely with a hefty silver buckle and tongue. The metal around the watch face is highly polished silver and you can see through the clear sides of the case. The silver engraved back is curved and is comfortable to wear as a result. White roman numerals have a clean polished silver edging too, which makes them distinct against the thin red swirls. All of this makes it easy to read. People will notice the distinctive visual "pow" effect, but it's not over the top. Setting the first date takes a little effort going through the hours to the right point, but that's a one time thing. A great buy.
