I am very pleased with this watch, which arrived in an impressive presentation box. The brown, embossed leather band compliments the beautiful rose goldtone bezel. The unusual and rather complicated clasp, however, had me stumped for quite a while even though there were directions and photos. After several attempts, following the instructions, with no success and feeling quite inadequate, I laid it aside. Much later I decided I'd have another "go at it" and after several more attempts finally pressed on the right place to release the clasp and then was able to insert the band with a bit of help from the directions/photos. The band itself is a bit stiff but I am sure with wear and time it will become more pliable. Overall, I am very pleased to own and wear such a nice timepiece

This is a sweet watch! Quick clasp back is not hard (has directions)and is a cool deal not to have to unbuckle every time.Has a classy art deco look-Easy to read dial without lookingoverly obvious. Many compliments. Looks classy, expensive!

I really like this watch. It is not my normal style, but I needed something simple and elegant to wear at work. It is far nicer than I had expected. My boss, who owns several very beautiful watches, immediately took notice of it. As others have commented, the clasping mechanism on the band is unusual, and I had to take my time reading the instructions. But now that it is set up, I love not having to unbuckle the watch.

I am very pleased with the watch. It was packaged very nicely, and the watch looks like a more expensive watch. The band is unusual, but I like the fact that you do not have to unbuckle the watch. Only complaint is about the thickness of the band by the buckle, but not a huge problem.

I really am enjoying this watch! It is absolutely beautiful and unique. The band needs a bit of patience, i.e. reading the directions but once figured out, it is well thought out and smart. Very happy with the product.

I received this watch and after fiddling with it for a long time--the band is a bit more complicated and unusual--I finally noted that it lacked the requisite aspect (pin or whatever) from the band, the mechanism that allows the band to function. So, I went to the warranty and got all the info as to where to send the watch for repair. I then noted it would COST me to send it to company for a fix--$24.00. Now, mind you, I have not even gotten a chance to wear the watch, even once, because it came to me in this faulty manner. I did send it to Stuhlring, it has been 3-4 weeks, and I have not gotten it back yet. I did write and include a letter to this company (you have to deal with them--not Overstock) if there are problems, in which I stated my displeasure with the fact I was being billed for mailing this faulty product--not to mention it never cost me anywhere near that amount when I shipped it to them, so why the $24.00 shipping I needed to include for them to return the product to me?All in all, I think Overstock needs to reconsider business with this company, for I don't think the watch company's policy regarding this is right, and it ultimately hurts Overstock.

This is a nicely made watch similar to fit and feel to the Hamilton line of Art Deco watches. The watch is a mid size case similar in size to the men's Hamilton Ardmore (a little shorter but wider) and with a longer leather band is perfect as a formal watch for men. The men's version is huge and too big for classic art deco collections in my opinion. The case and case back is stainless steel plated in gold including the case back and double butterfly push buttion buckle. The lightning bolt markers are an optical illusion due to the crystal cut. The markers are straight and as seen straight on through the cut beveled crystal provide that nice lightning bolt effect. The highly detailed face/dial is done in an Egyptian ray embossed style. The gold plated markers are done in a classic 1930 look. This watch is a must for any art deco watch re-issue collection.The band is 18 mm the case is 8.5 mm thick including the crystal. The case and crystal are nicely curved. The case length including the spring bar mountings is 34 mm and the case width is 24 mm

This is an absolutely great watch! It has alot of style and is extremely well made. The watch band is sturdy and easy to operate. This is another great purchase from Overstock!

I like a large watch for casual wear. I change watches like I do shoes. This has great styling and an overall great look. It was a good value as well.

I was pleasantly surpised when the watch arrived. The packaging was very elegant. The watch came with a cleaning cloth that I have found to be very useful. The watch is a little larger than I expected but still very attractive. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

This is a beautiful, classic watch. The strap was kind of difficult to figure out (it has a two clasps). It is very lady-like and elegant. I am very pleased with this purchase.

...the watch has beautiful detail right down to the face surface, curve of the crystal, substantial strap and antique style numbers. The size is statement making - not on the delicate side yet still feminine - which is what I was after in this purchase. Very nice and very well done for the price, Thank you!

While it took a couple tries to figure out the clasp on this watch, I really love it. The face is large enough to see without squinting and I love the look of the band. The second hand feature is also convenient.

This is the most gorgeous watch I've ever owned!! It's a very classy and expensive looking piece that I'm so glad I purchased. On the clasp.....if I would have written this review a week ago, I would have complained about the band and clasp. It was a bit of a pain to figure out the instructions, etc. HOWEVER, now since I've worn the watch a week, I just LOVE the clasp. It's very comfortable and looks fabulous. Don't hesitate to buy this watch - it's wonderful!

To say that this watch exceeded all expectations would be an understatement. My wife was thrilled when she received her Lady Gatsby. It is beautiful but functional. Impeccable quality but simple to understand and use. In short, it's the best watch for a nominal investment that I have ever seen in my 45 years of watch purchasing for my wife. Thank you Overstock for bringing such a fantistic watch at a reasonable price to the American internet market.

Although shipping took a little longer than expected (about 10 days), i love everything about this watch: the "timeless" retro design, the cool look of the separate second-hand, the beveled crystal, black leather band, and snap-on feature. The general appearance of this time-piece is casaul yet classy. Personally, i found the clasp easy enough to master. All that is needed to adjust the size is to pry open the little buckle with the logo and slide it to the hole that fits best. Then it simply snaps closed like a typical metal watch band. The sides are pinched inward to release. I have worn my watch all day, every day, since receiving it about 3 weeks ago, and it still looks right out of the box. I suspect that it is sturdy enough for the new look to last for quite some time. I am also of the opinion that this watch would make a perfect gift, as it has a classic look that will appeal to pretty much all (adult ) ages and tastes.

I really like this watch; it is beautiful and very stylish. However this is the second one I ordered (the first I sent back). The first one did not work and the second worked for only 24 hours. The batteries were dead in both of them. I took the second one to the jewler to have the battery replaced. One thing that really bothered me was the fact that on both watches the contents appeared to have already been open by another customer. The contents were not put back together. Overall the watch is a good investment.

I had been hesitating to order this watch, but finally did last week. I'm SO happy I did! I received it about an hour ago, took about 5 minutes to figure out how to work the clasp, and will probably sleep with the watch on because I don't want to take it off, at least until I step into the shower tomorrow morning. It's a beautiful watch in every way, and Overstock's pricing made it a great value. If you're thinking about buying this watch, don't hesitate another minute -- you won't be sorry.

I had to get used to the clasp, but now that I am, love the watch and think it looks more expensive than the price.
