Crown stopper: Please be sure to remove the crown stopper before attempting to use your newly purchased watch. Crown stoppers are there to preserve the battery life so the watch will not run before it is removed.
This watch is powered by automatic movement which means the winding of the spring occurs automatically when the wearer moves his arm. However, it is recommended that you manually wind the watch at least once every two weeks. It is also important to adjust the time once a month as automatic movement can gain or lose a few minutes per month.

Not For Everyone
Yes, in theory this is a gorgeous watch with a beautiful presentation box by Sturhling. However, there are several difficulties that one might consider before its purchase. Firstly, the mesh band is particularly irritating for the smaller wrist--not due to discomfort but from the flapping of excess band. The band ring which normally secures the excess flap is also metal and simply doesn't do its job. Secondly, I returned this watch to Overstock as it stopped one day and no amount of wrist movement nor a watch winder would start it up again.
