This watch is powered by automatic movement which means the winding of the spring occurs automatically when the wearer moves his arm. However, it is recommended that you manually wind the watch at least once every two weeks. It is also important to adjust the time once a month as automatic movement can gain or lose a few minutes per month.
Screw-down crowns create a stronger seal against the case than a push-and-pull knob, giving the watch a greater water resistance factor. To unscrew the crown, grasp the knob and turn it counter-clockwise (towards you) a number of times until it releases. Then pull or push the crown into position to set the time, date, and other functions. To close the crown, press it against the case while turning in a clockwise direction.

Outstanding
I ordered this watch for my husband's Valentine's Day gift. It arrived a day late, due to UPS issues. After seeing the look on his face when he opened the case, it was worth waiting an extra day for its arrival. It is absolutely stunning. A substantial time-piece. The hands are easy to read against the elegant, blue face. The back of the case is see-through so you can see the works in action. Gorgeous stainless wrist band. Looks like a time-piece from that company famous for its sweeping second hands. It was shipped in an eye-catching case, complete with a special cleaning cloth and a certificate of authenticity. We couldn't be more pleased.

Beautiful Watch
I bought this watch for my husband for Christmas. He really wanted an automatic watch and I wanted to be sure to give him one that was worth it. I think it is beautiful. It is heavy and well made. I won't know how well it keeps time until my husband has worn it for a while but given the Stuhrling reputation, I think it will be fine. I am sure he will love it. It is definitely something that he will want to pass down to one of our sons. Comes with a two year warranty!
