watch does come in a handsome presentation box and does look much more pricey than the money spent. smart looking and interesting clasp. can't wait to see my husbands face @ christmas!

This is a really sharp watch. The face is an unusual shape but very stylish. As another reviewer stated, the blue numerals do not really appear blue. They are very dark... amost black. The band is well made and designed. The clasp works well. The finish on the watch is second to none. If you like the look, you'll love this one. I do.

This is by far my favorite watch..... once you get the hang of the strap closure:-)

Bought this watch for my son as a graduation present. He loved the look of the watch and the "funky" clasp. My only critique would be the water resistance. 3ATM or 30M rating means you can splash water on it while washing the hand. It does not mean that it can stand 3ATM or 3 atmospheres of pressure without killing it. Take this one to the opera, not the pool.

This watch is even more stunning in person. The price was fantastic - the only regret is that the battery has lasted only 7 mos.

This is a great classic men's watch that I have been looking at for a while. Ideal for dress or casual. Have purchased many Stuhrlings in the past and never been disappointed. This is no exception. Highly recommended.

i purchased this watch for my college age son. It is very clean in its design. It is also a "normal" size (not huge). My son has a good eye, and he loved it. It does have the odd watch band that has been discussed in the other reviews, but he is handy and he figured it out. it is a very good looking watch.

Great watch . Should have included instructions re: butterfly clasp, though. Couldn't figure out how to use it. Went to Stuhrling website and got the answer. Overall, butterfly clasp not as comfortable as other bands. I don't wear it too tight but still have to take the watch off some afternoons while sitting at my desk.

This is a great watch. It is thin, so you can wear it with tailored shirts with narrow cuffs. It appears black, but has blue accents on the face, giving it a little pizazz. I love this product and will definitely order more watches from Stuhrling again. Also, the packaging was nice, with a microfiber cloth for cleaning the watch. Excellent all around.

my boyfirend loves it and so am i. the watch is very nice looking and comes in a super-fancy box. i agree with other reviewers about the clasp. it's so unnecessary and bulky for a leather strap watch. great price for a great watch. thinking of getting a matching one for myself.

It is a piece that will always remain stylish as it is not too big or too small on the wrist. The dial is very easy to read. I have been impressed with Sthurling watches for the past year. This is an elegant yet simple watch that is a perfect fit for my wrist. The blue Arabic numbers and markers give it a very elegant appearance, and the blue crown is also a very nice touch.

I received this watch as a gift. It is nice, and I needed a watch. I am glad my wife did not spend too much for it, I do think it is worth the money. it does not have a day of the month window, would be nice, but still keeps time well. The clasp seems too difficult for the band. Butterfly bands are great for steel bands, as for a leather band the regular clasp would work just fine as it still has that look. The butterfly clasp does rub into the under of the wrist, takes a couple of days to get used to. All in all a nice looking watch for the price if you want an oversized look.

I wanted a very special gift for my husband's birthday. He loves watches, and the style of this Stuhrling Gatsby was exactly what I was looking for. He is a performer and needed to be able to wear the piece with nice clothes on stage. I read the reviews and did some comparison shopping first and found this watch to be an excellent value. It looks very handsome, is not too big on his wrist, and seems sturdy and strong. The face is well-appointed, easy to read and classy. The band I ordered is black, which complements much of his wardrobe. The buckle was a challenge at first, but once we turned to the directions it all made sense. I'm thoroughly pleased, because he was thrilled. We expect many years of reliable service and appreciative comments.

This is a nice watch, solid stainless case and band with nice stainless butterfly buckle. The lightning bolt markers are an optical illusion due to the crystal cut. The markers are straight but a nice effect anyway. The band is 22 mm wide and my only criticism. This watch is large and larger than one would expect for a 1930 look art deco style watch. So if you want a more old world classic size go for the women's version and get a longer band for it to fit larger wrists. See my review of the 145L.12352 mid size version.

I am a lawyer and often wear this watch to court and constantly get asked questions about where did I get it and how much did it cost. I always say, "if you have to ask, you can't afford it". This is an outstanding looking watch for the price and so worth the money. Band is a little tricky at first but after you figure it out, its no problem. It looks great with a suit, especially when you "shoot the cuffs". Highly recomend this watch.

I had to give this watch away after a week or so - it was far too over-sized and this should have been mentioned in the description of the product. I am very disappointed as the watch is quite good-looking with the exception that it's the size of a small wall-clock -- no wonder it is selling at this price!

It is a quality watch that fits perfectly with my business casual attire. very pleased. the hasp is a little cumbersome, and unusual, but the watch is great. Not sure about durability of hasp yet since I recently purchased.
