I have been wanting a nice watch with a black band for a while and have not found one that suits until now. Wow, am I ever glad that I waited. This watch is so much nicer than it appears in the photo. It is well made and quality throughout. It is a nice sturdy weight and the leather band is already softening up after only wearing it once. the face appears a silver/pearl color with lots of detail along with the great blue numbers and markers. I wear my ebel almost every day but this one may be my new everyday watch. I think that it will hold up for that type of daily wear. This is a great bargain price for the swiss quartz. Shipping was fast. The packaging was a nice steuhrling box. The clasp takes a little time...you may need help to pull the strap through the clasp and to hook it, otherwise it is a great watch. I love it and will buy this brand again.

This is my second Stuhrling Original, and I have to say that I love it every bit as much as the first one! The surgical grade stainless steel case and thick leather band look to be very durable, while quality artistic details make this watch really stand out. The face's wonderful textured 'sunray' is complemented by its numerals and markers, which are embossed, not printed on. Plus the case back is screwed down properly, not merely snapped in, so the water-proof seal will likely remain intact for the life of the piece. The styling, too, is quite pleasing, vintage-y, yet contemporary and clean... All in all, a lot of watch for not a lot of money!

I got this for my wife, and she loves it. The face is easy to read, and the blue markers really look nice.She loves the black leather band. It wasn't hard at all to use the deployment clasp if you looked at the guide they sent. I saw an ad in a very upscale magazine showing a watch with a very similar look (including the blue markers) and it was selling for several thousand dollars! I thnik this watch was a great deal.

I purchased this watch as a Mother's Day gift for my wife. She loves the style and the colors. Comes with an additional year warranty if you register the watch. Good value and product.

I'm pleased with the watch. I think that it is a good everyday watch that has a simplistic elegance. The face is easy to see at a glance & the numbers have a metallic blue sheen to them when observed in certain lighting, black in others. The band is high quality, strong yet comfortable. It holds it shape well after it has been removed & shows no signs of wearing after a month of daily use. The only thing that I do not like about the watch is that the face of the watch does not sit flush against the top of my wrist. It's a comfort & an aesthetic quirk that personally bothers me but which I can live with.

If you want to be (or consider yourself to be) a thrifty trendsetter then this watch is for you. This watch is for women who like the quirky, funky fashions of Betsey Johnson but aren't particularly fond of her (latest) oversized timepieces. This watch is conservative enough for your business suit yet hip enough to wear with your sexy jeans, cute t-shirt and hot pumps. The crystal is bubble-shaped and the color of the dial & watch hands is closer to cobalt (but I don't mind because blue is my favorite color); however the showstopper is the clasp! My friends saw my watch & thought it was an old-fashioned buckle--until I removed the watch from my arm! When my friends saw that the I opened the clasp by squeezing the buttons on the sides, they were speechless. At first glance I thought the clasp would be difficult to manuever (sp) but it only took me a hot two minutes to figure it out. In fact it took me longer to open the package than to adjust the clasp. (Sidebar: I like gadgets so working the clasp was no challenge.) The leather watchband is thick and stiff but it becomes malleable over time. Overall this watch is worth this price; you will not be disappointed. Besides, in this economy, who wants to pay several hundred (or several thousand) dollars for a blinged-out timepiece when you can hold on to what's left of your loot & still make a fashion statement for a song? Ladies, if you want to stand out from the crowd buy this watch.

This is a very classy watch. The face of the watch is striking with the blue numbers and markers. The band clasp is easy enough and saves the black band from extra wear and tear from daily removal of the watch. Overall it's a very nice watch for the price.

This is a lovely watch. The band is wider than I expected and I love it! The face can be a little funny to read sometimes, but I find I'm wearing a watch these days mostly as an accessory, and less as the functional item it used to be for me, so it really doesn't bother me. The second hand face at the bottom is very easy to read. The band is really cool once you get it figured out (or ask your husband to do it, like I did!). Overall, it is a really classy watch, enough of a statement without being over the top--just what I was hoping for!

I really like this watch. I have been looking for a black leather strap watch and had a hard time finding one. The only comment on this watch is that the strap is a bit stiff but nothing that can't be worked on. Face is big, easy to read... the clasp w hich others say was difficult to figure out... not bad at all! Well worth the price as far as value is concerned.

I like to wear one watch, for work and for casual. This watch is perfect for that. It is simple but fun with the numerals sometimes showing their blue color and sometimes looking black. The packaging was elegant and so far it works perfectly. The clasp is no problem and easily learned. I love Overstock!

I received this watch as a gift from my husband and kids and I love it ! The clasp is very unique and I will never have to worry about losing my watch because of the way the safety clasp is designed. I like the classic look with the black leather strap and at the same time the face has a little bit of an updated look with the blue numbers and hands. It keeps great time too !! I would definately recommend this watch to a friend.

I don't have very much to add for this review from the first two featured reviews. I love this watch. It's comfortable, fairly lightweight, expensive looking. I like the way it's manufactured to fit the curve of your wrist. I love the stainless steel durability. The band was easy to figure out and I love how it clasps. I've had it for a week but the band was already comfy after only a couple of days. I hardly know I have it on. I love Overstock. They have such great deals. I'm glad I didn't have to spend an arm and a leg to get a great looking watch.

I've owned this watch for about a year now, and wear it all the time! I love it. I have skinny wrists and it fits nice. I have to laugh because I couldn't figure out the latch, so I called Stuhrling and they were wonderful, kind and explained how easy it was... just click the side button :-) It's my first really nice watch, and i feel comfortable wearing it to everything from casual to upscale functions. After all this time, it still looks great! You'll love it!

Absolutely beautiful watch, even on a small wrist. Easy to read; VERY cool look. Once you figure out the clasp (MUST read directions), it's a cinch. My wrist is 6" and the watch looks great on it. I might try to have the band shortened so that the metal part of the clasp is in the center of my wrist. If it can't be shortened, I'll just get a new strap. Strap is very stiff right out of the box, but softens up in a day or so. I highly recommend!

This is a beautiful watch that looks as though it's worth much more than the asking price. It has an expensive clasp on it that sets it apart from all others. I would highly recommend this watch.

I really love this watch. It was just as it looked in the picture and I am very pleased with it. I wasn't sure if it was going to be too big for my wrist, but it looks great. The clasp took a little getting used to, but now I like it much better than the buckle kind.

This is my second Stuhrling watch purchased through Overstock and it is just as wonderful as the first! Excellent quality and workmanship---it is comfortable to wear and looks very classy. Stuhrling watches come beautifully packaged, so if you are looking for a great gift for someone, then this is it!

Overall, the watch is a good watch for the money. It looks great and you can't beat the price. However, if you have a small wrist, the watch may not fit properly. If you tighten the band to the last notch, the clasp doesn't sit properly on your wrist and therefore the face of the watch isn't in the correct position. Also, I haven't worn the watch that often since I bought it, but the clasp is already scratched up. It's ironic that the clasp was one of the feature that drew me to the watch, but now it's a bother. Besides that, it's a great watch and if you're lucky enough to not have a small wrist, I would highly recommend it.

I was not impressed with this watch. It was far bigger than it appeared on the website. I am petite and it's too large for me. I wanted to return it but the 20 days had already expired.

After figuring out how to close the clasp, it has become my daily watch. It's a good purchase and am now looking for another Stuhrling watch for a family gift.
