The watch is beautiful. The combination of classic leather band with distinctive face gives it a basic elegance that is enhanced by an individualistic streak. The face is somewhat larger than one might have thought from the website image, but it adds rather than detracts from the overall effect. There are also some interesting touches that one cannot perceive online. On the functional side, I wanted a face watch that has the day, date and month. This one has those, plus the moon phase, which I really like. The website image suggests the day, date and month subdials are more legible than they really are. This is because the color contrast is not as sharp as online; the numbers and letters are not so much white as a kind of light metallic. Setting the watch required time, patience, and careful attention, but that should be expected of a watch keeping track of more than minutes and hours; best to read the entire set of instructions before beginning (it is not long actually), because later points can clarify and simplify earlier ones. The luminous element on the hands and numbers - something important to me as well - is on the thinner side. I have not seen the double clasp before. Again, the instructions were very helpful. I do not know if it is related to the double clasp or needs to be fixed, but the buckle and holed parts of the strap were reversed (buckle on bottom, holes on top). The picture online suggests this is how it should be. When all is said and done: my wife was genuinely impressed and that trumps all.

This is a very nice watch at a good price. I was attracted by the moon function and clean "low key elegance" of the watch.There were no surprises as I read the reviews on Overstock.com before purchasing. As in previous reviews, the double clasp does take a bit of getting used to. Initially setting the watch for proper moon function does take awhile - and it is a one time exercise. As stated in previous reviews, you definitely do need perfect close up vision to read the three dials for day, month, and date. If you don't, then consider the three small dials as decorative.

This is by far the nicest watch I have ever owned. I received it as a gift from my girlfriend and was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. While the dials are a bit hard to set, it's worth it in the end. The band seems like it will hold up and the face piece should work on any male wrist.

This is a great watch for the price. The crastmenship is great for a watch in this price rang and comes with a very good warrenty. Like other reviews have stated setting the moon phase is tricky, but all in all it is a very good buy.

I bought this watch and it quickly became my favorate... i like watches and have a bunch so there is somthing to be said about my fav... one down fall did come when the clasp on the band did break... not covered by warrenty. had to pay 20 bucks for a replacement... small price to pay for a fine watch.. lots of people have commented on it as well... great overall watch... i do also have other watches from this company all good.

This was my first time purchasing a watch that wasn't like a Seiko. This watch is beautiful. It sparkles when my husband wears it. It's quite heavy and is just gorgeous. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.
