I purchased this based on other reviews & was expecting delicate, but this is VERY delicate. It's a pretty little thing, but I wouldn't buy it for someone who isn't careful with their jewelry. If I had seen it "in person" prior to buying, I would have purchased the larger one. I do wear it, but make sure I take it off as soon as I get home and put it away. The chain gets knotted very easily.

I purchased this necklace for my daughter's birthday. We've always loved the beach and I like the saying about sand dollars. It looks even better than the picture. I could see the chain wasn't going to suit the piece. It seemed much too thin and it was. It was nice to see the back textured as well instead of it being just a flat disk Overall I'm happy with it and my daughter loves her gift and that's what counts!

I was attracted to the unique look of the sand dollar and I think it is a good size. it is a bit thinner than I had pictured and the chain seems very fragile, so hopefully it will last. It was a gift for my daughter, and she was pleased.
