I bought 3 of these Marcasite Necklaces for gifts and one for myself. They were smaller than expected. I will keep the smallest since I'm not comfortable giving it to my daughters/in-laws. They are taller than me and these pieces may look lost around their neck. They're not as rich looking as they appear on line. The look of the chain diminishes the value of the pieces.

This locket is simple and yet very beautiful. I love wearing it and it gets lots of compliments. It is great for pepping up a usually dull outfit.

This locket was very small, hard to get good picture in it. It also is quite deep for no reason so it sits far off your chest. This was also very hard to open and you have to pry it open every time. Although the apperance is nice and i still wear it occassionally, but i am forced to find something still for everyday use

Lovely locket, a little bigger than I thought it would be but nice all the same. It doesn't open very easily, but then you don't have to worry about it coming open on its own.

Received locket and the back was tarnished and it was impossible to open without prying with a knife. Then it would not close easily. The appearance: It is quite deeper in depth than you would think, but it is a pretty piece of jewelry, just not functional if using for a locket. Would not recommend.

To look at it is pretty. However, there are some things with it I was disappointed with. The chain is rather short, the locket is difficult to open, and it is heavier than you think it would be from the picture.
