I absolutely love this pendant. I bought this for a friend of mines daughter who was turning 12--the thing I loved about it is that the style can go for an adult, but just as easily be worn by a young girl. It is elegant and beautiful. I think the quality is great. My friends daughter was way beyond thrilled when she got it and she wears it all the time. This truly is a gorgeous piece of jewelry--I would definitely recommend it for anyone who loves traditional styled jewelry--stuff that is elegant and feminine. Way to go Overstock.com I haven't been disappointed yet--I hope it stays that way.
I was extremely disappointed in this product. I bought this for my mother for her birthday so she could keep a picture in it of my dad who just passed away. First, you can't really put a picture in it. Second, the front of the locket is open or "see through" which is not the way it looked. It felt very light and cheap...and to add, when it came it was not even assembled correctly...the triangle piece that holds the locket to the chain was completely backwards and there was no way for me to fix it...so I have to return it and my mom will have to wait for a birthday present.
I bought this item for my mother's birthday in Sept. to match an antique amethyst ring I purchased from Overstock for Mother's Day 2008. She absolutely loved it and couldn't believe I was able to find a necklace that matched the ring she adores so much!
