This maracasite pendant is beautiful! The picture online does not do it justice. It is a wonderful gift. I gave one to my sister for her birthday and am planning to give one to both my mother and mother-in-law. The quality is great and it can be worn both dressed up and dressed down in casual attire. I love it! And the price...you can't beat it!
My daughter requested this locket for her 39th BIrthday so she may put a picture of her 3 year old daughter in the locket. -- we were very satisfied with the locket .. It is not easy to place a picture in the locket because of the design. After she has worn the locket for several times the silver chain has tarnished-- I 'm thinking it is the chemicals in her skin but she does have other silver that this does not occur. The locket itself is very attractive and the service was excellent.
I was looking for a locket to put a picture of my 10 month old in. I wanted something different than the standard heart shaped locket. This is a very pretty necklace, and it actually is double-sided. You could wear it with the marcasite side out or with the scroll side out. I did not have a problem with the chain; I don't think it's flimsy at all. It is a dainty chain (which I prefer), but certainly strong enough to hold the locket.
I gave this necklace to my friend for Christmas. She really loved it. She has worn it several times. I did not have a problem with the chain being too fine as
others did.
