I was hesitant bcs of another review, but I tho, How bad can it be? If I don't like it, I'll return it. I like it. I'm keeping it. (1) It does look waaaaay better in person, but I had no doubts about it bcs marcasite doesn't photograph well from any distance but macro. Plenty of sparkle and beading around edges (inside and out) of the rings adds some extra. (2) Clasp is just fine! Might even be sterling; in fact, I think it is. My plan was if the clasp looked cheesy, I'd see whether my jeweler could put on a lobster for cheap enough that the new clasp didn't out-cost the bracelet! The clasp has 3 marcasites on it and is lovely. (My wrist is also small enough that I can slip on the closed bracelet--as I do with many of my bracelets--but the clasp certainly would hold up for frequent on-off.) I recommend this bracelet without hesitation; it has the nice antique look all marcasite has. And a steal for the $. mb

Like the "Marcasite and CZ Vine Bracelet" here, this is a pretty bracelet, and my wife was happy to receive it as a gift. However, be warned that it is made from cheap-looking metal. You won't notice it unless you examine the back of the links or, especially, the clasp.
In my opinion, the clasp actually suffers from a design flaw, in that flexing the bracelet even a bit in the opening direction applies force to the clasp. If the clasp held more tightly, it might be able to remain closed, but it's a pretty weak connection to start with, and it opens quite easily.
My wife has small hands, so I fused the clasp bits together, and she just slips the bracelet over her hand. Jewelry shouldn't require JB Weld.
