The whole point of me trying to get a locket, was to put pictures in it. The reviews for this locket were mostly positive, so I bought it. The spot for pictures is soooooo tiny and there is nothing to hold the pictures in. I would compare the opening to a pencil eraser or a woman's pinky nail bed. The necklace and locket are nice, but just not meant for pictures. Back it goes...

Nice shiney locket. Pretty and nice size for my 9yo daughter. Bought it for Christmas and the chain already broke! The locket inside was hollow. Did not have glass to keep pictures in it. Besides that, it is an inexpensive pretty locket.

My granddaughter misses us so I thought I'd send her a little locket [ she's only 4] with our pictures to look at. I had to scour many distant shots before finding some small enough to fit into the tiny opening. She was so excited but broke the chain within 15 minutes. The locket is pretty and we'll get her a sturdier chain but would I buy this again even for an older child ? No.

I loved the locket it was perfect for the little girl for which it was bought.. although the locket was smaller then I expected.. my 5 year old grand daughter loved very much.

The locket is prettier in person and is perfect for a little girl.

I bought this as a small gift for my wife on our anniversary, to supplement her main gift. The necklace arrived in the estimated shipping, however the necklace was defective. The hinge was damaged, and had a sharp point sticking out of the top side of it. This was my first and last purchase from overstock.com, I don't have time for companies that don't so much as look at the product they're shipping. Luckily, I was able to pick out a better, slightly more expensive locket(***) from ****.

After reading many reviews and looking at several lockets for my little girl I chose this one because there were so many reviews with comments on how durable the chain was. I received it and it is quite pretty and looked like a good chain - would you believe it broke the very first day. Instead of dealing with sending it back - I put it on one of my old sterling chains and it has been fine since- she wears it every day and loves it.

The size was a little smaller than I would have liked, the quality was great and the chain was wonderful

Ths locket is lovely. I especially love the silky feel of the silver chain. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is a little small. I bought it for a teenager and it is sized more for a small child. Perfect for Valentine's Day or even a Communion gift. Very pretty and great quality for the money..

After reading the reviews from previous buyers, I purchased this locket for my daughter. It's small but perfect size for elementary school girl, and she really loved it. It's pretty and I like the sturdiness of the chain as well. Well worth the money spent! I'd recommend it!

This locket was just the perfect gift for my 9 year old. It is very petite and the necklace is very sturdy and well made. Most of her little girl necklaces brake within a few uses. This one doesn't look or feel like "little girl jewelry". It is a quality piece that she will enjoy for years.

The pendant and necklace are beautiful, but I should have read the details better. The heart pendant is very small, and I was buying it as a gift for an older and larger woman. So, I'm going to have to return it for something else. I'm still giving it a 5-star rating though because it is very pretty and lady-like.

The locket is beautiful with wonderful workmanship. The chain is strong and sturdy. My neice had a fit over it and put her mom and dad's pictures in it. I will be re-ordering in the future. I loved the etched design in the silver.
