I got this to go with "matching" earrings. The pendant is quite a dark stone (seems to vary from review to review, but mine is dark and veyr pretty). The earrings, although the same design have very light stones- don't match and not as pretty. The chain was not good and I wear this on a snake chain- very nice. It is not rhodium p late, so it does tarnish (as do the earrings), but that's the breaks with sterling silver. I really like it and I get compliments on it everytime I wear it. The only improvements I'd recommend are plating to avoid tarnish and a better match with the earrings.

A true amethyst is light purple. If you want it darker just slip a dark piece of felt behind the stone for variety.

I bought this necklace for my brother's wedding. I wanted a high contrast pop of color for my silver dress. However, the purple was MUCH lighter than pictured. It's about the color of the three stones pictured at the top of the necklace. Needless to say, I wasnt very happy when I saw the color. It's pretty, but definitely NOT what is pictured.

i saw this product and was super excited to receive it in the mail. however when i got it, it wasnt as the picture showed. the deep amethyst color shown was actually a light lavender (similar to the three stones on top). deeply disappointed. beautiful necklace, however very misleading.

This is a very nice necklace for the money you spend on it! If you are expecting high-end craftmanship you are obviously not going to find that in the under-$100 range, but if you want something that is well-made with a nice big stone, this is a great necklace.

I purchased the amethyst necklace for a gift for my daughter-in-law and she loved the necklace. The chain that came with it was not of the best quality......very cheap looking. The stone was beautiful, however, it had a severe flaw in it. It looked like a crack in the stone and it was quite noticeable. Fortunately, my daughter-in-law felt that no one could detect the flaw unless they looked very closely at the necklace so she kept it. This is a beautiful necklace but the the chain should be upgraded to a better quality one and the merchandise should be checked more closely before it is shipped. This flaw was very noticeable.

I got the necklace to match the earrings. The set makes a bit of a statement as they are quite eye catching. The pendant is large and very pretty. I would have preferred a long and more delicate chain but it goes well with the size of the pendant as it is. The chain is sturdy. Delivery is quick and the packaging was appropriate.

The chain was shiny, sturdy and long, which pleased me because so many other necklace reviews complain about the daintiness and shortness of the chain. The two gemstones were a beautiful shade and complimented each other well. She loved the necklace... it is a nice, bigger size and is so ELEGANT!!!! When I opened the box, I was so impressed that I would've kept it for myself. I was pleased to see that the picture on the listing was "true to life" - it looks exactly like the picture...Just gorgeous!
