Amethyst earrings
The size of these earrings are fabulous, love the look, not crazy about the diamond parts. I removed the amethyst portion of the earrings and put on lever-back findings. Cut the wasted metal away and filed the area smooth. Gave the revised diamond earrings to my niece, with no clue of the alteration, she and I are both happy with our earrings. The 3 star ratings is a QA issue, the amethysts in my pair were not the same size. One is larger and when you look at them closely the prongs are not as secure on the larger one as a result. I'm willing to risk loosing one but am not concerned, because they are on the ears they are less likely to be damaged like they would in a ring. Decided if I loose one then I'll have a new pendant is all! :)

Quality control
I tried ordering these earrings three times. The first pair were two different colors. One purple and the other very pale, almost gray. The second and third pairs were the pale gray color. They would be beautiful earings if they could get the color better, and both the same. Overstock had great customer service. i will definitely order here again, just not these earrings!

Earrings
I purchased these earrings for a birthday present. They are beautiful, and the Amethyst stones are a nice size. The only thing I was dissappointed in was the color purple in the stones. Once you put them on, the color is to light, I would of preferred a darker color purple. They look like a light greyish purple color...

My husband bought these for me for Christmas. They are stunning! The diamonds are sparkly and the Amethysts are beautiful! These are larger stones but I will definitely wear these all the time. I can't wait until our anniversary on Valentine's Day so I can wear these with my hair up! WOW
