I was very upset when my husband opened his Christmas gift up and the chain link at the top of the watch where the fob is to be attached was not on the watch, but was just laying in the box. I was also a little taken aback that the crystal was plastic rather than glass as this was not an inexpensive watch. The watch has been sent back to Steinhausen for repairs. We are still waiting for the repairs and the return of the watch.Read More
Questions & Answers
The watch is made in China.
Is it swiss mechanical or chinese mechanical movement?
It''s Chinese mechanical movement.
What is the diff. between mechanical movement and automatic movement? Does this have jeweled movement in it?
The major component of a mechanical movement is the mainspring, a special gradually unwinding spring responsible for transmission of energy. Mechanical movements are divided into two major groups - automatic, also called self-winding, and manual-wind, also known as hand-wound or wind-up. An automatic mechanism has a special fan-shaped rotor that is swinging on a pivot in response to the motion of the arm of the watch wearer.
Nice watch. At $308 is any of it gold, or is it all 'gold tone' stainless?
