They don't look like birds.
The earrings have a very vague molded shape and are not as clearly defined or carved looking as the ones in the picture. They are supposed to be turquoise birds, but the ones I received look like amoebas. These look more like a fish with a dorsal fin than a bird. The hole through the turquoise 'bird' is drilled on an diagonal angle which causes the 'bird' to point downward, one earring is worse than the other. The only way to make the 'bird/amoeba' sit straight is to bend the very thin beading wire, but it may break. There are 5 carved hash marks rather than 3 as pictured. The turquoise itself is much thinner than pictured and it's very shinny, and might be "reconstituted" turquoise. They weren't expensive, but they were supposed to be birds, and therefore are not suitable for gift giving.
