The stainless case and chain are very high quality, as well as the automatic movement. And it's hard to beat a lifetime warranty .But i cannot understand why anyone would design such a great watch and have a PLASTIC lens installed under the front cover...very disappointing. I have already removed the plastic lens and installed a glass crystal, so buyer beware.

I bought this as a wedding gift for my fiance. It is a gorgeous highly polished watch, with a nice heavy weight, and it came beautifully packaged. This is a stainless steel watch, unlike many others in the price range, and it is self-winding, so it is not only beautiful, but tough and practical too. The shield design on the front is perfect for engraving, and my engraver was also able to put a short phrase on the outer ring of the back of the watch. The back of the watch is actually another large crystal so you can see the movement, with less than 1/2" edge band of the case.

i ordered this watch for my husband for christmas. i love pocket watches. i kept my fingers crossed . i received it within 2 days of ordering. i had his initials engraved on the emblem. wow! how beautiful this watch is. my husband carries it everyday and shows it off. i am so pleased with my purchase from beginning to end. it is beautiful and elegant for a man yet it can be for any man. my husband is a "manly man" and it suits him. thank you OS.

I gave this watch to my son who was graduating from high school. He has a passion for pocket watches and I want to make it a tradition of giving him an upgrade of pocket watch for every big "life step." I gave him a pocket watch when he graduated grammer school that lasted him 4 years and hopefully this one will last him through college. It has a very rich appearance and it keeps great time. Well worth the money and I would highly recommend it.

Watch came with a broken crystal. It was replaced the same day that I returned it! Can't ask for any better service. It has been a treasured graduation gift for my son.

I wear it in my leather CCW vest pocket with the chain clipped on a loop. Nicest pocket watch I have ever owned in my 50+ years.

I own several pocket watches, some vintage, some brand new. Aside from an old early 1900s Waltham, this is the best one I own. The construction is superb, the lid very solid and the clasp works perfectly. The winding motion is the smoothest I've ever seen on a pocket watch, which makes it very easy to judge how much more it needs to be wound. The automatic winding feature...doesn't seem to do a whole lot, really. But it looks neat. My only real complaint about the watch is that the hour and minute hands (thin wire frames) can be hard to read if you're looking at it in the wrong light or at a strange angle. Tipping the watch a bit usually solves the problem though, so it's not a big deal. Overall - excellent watch. I highly recommend it.

I had been looking for just the right pocket watch for my husband's birthday and was having a hard time finding something I knew he would like and use. It needed to be made of a durable material, have a protective cover, yet look elegant enough for wearing out in the evenings, but could hold up to everyday use. This watch had everything I was looking for and at a great price as well. The cover of this watch has a small shield on it which, I had an old english initial engraved in it. It is a handsome, durable time piece that my husband absolutely loves and uses everyday.

My husband loves this watch. He likes the stainless steel case and he also likes being able to see the movements. He finds it easy to read. It has a nice place for monogramming if you would want to do that.

This watch is beautiful--I gave it to my boyfriend & he was awestruck by it. It's great for engraving both on the front & inside. On the back of the watch you can see the crystal mechanism that keeps time--adds a lot to the presentation. I would certainly recommend it to others.

This watch is nice but incorrectly discribed. It is a 22 jewel movement w/ self-winding motion and pretty much only needs winding once a day before I put it on. The stainless steel is nice and makes this a durable watch. my only compliant is that the hand are just thin wires and almost impossible for me to see unless I squint and hold it under some good light, (and I am only 29) because of this I have to knock the features some. After all how good is a watch if you can bearly tell time with it. But every thing else is nice and really it is a good deal for the price.

This pocket watch was a huge hit for our supervisor's going away. There was enough room on the front of the watch for an engraver to place one letter inside the shield. A beautiful watch that made a terrific gift. Comes in a nice presentation giftbox. Highly recommend.

When I purchased this watch I did not know the maker was the well known Charles Hubert. The size of the watch was given in millmeters; however, knowning it was 1 1/2 inches across the face would have been more helpful. It's a highly polished hamdsome watch with nice weight to it. I would highly recommend this pocket watch to anyone who treasures them.
