It's a pretty piece of jewelry. I was disappointed that the stones were dark, sapphires are considered more valuable--from what I've been told-- when they are lighter in shade. My guess is that the sapphires are lab created, note the description: "genuine blue," not "genuine sapphire". It was a gift for my 14 year niece and she loved it. For the price, I think it was fine.
