This watch has a screw-down crown (knob) for setting the time. Screw-down crowns create a stronger seal against the case than a push-and-pull knob, giving the watch a greater water resistance factor. To unscrew the crown, grasp the knob and turn it counter-clockwise (towards you) a number of times until it releases. Then pull or push the crown into position to set the time, date, and other functions. To close the crown, press it against the case while turning in a clockwise direction.

Customer Reviews
I love the size and heft of this watch. My only complaint is that the minute hand of the chronograph is really too small to be useful, the second sweeper is very visible, but you can't leave it running, as both hands of the chronograph stop after it exhausts its 45 minute range.I got mine as a gift from my wife several years ago after noticing its design in a magazine ad. I currently use it as my "beater" watch, so I travel, work out, play squash, swim, etc. in this watch. It has held up very well to my abuse, it still looks great, and I'm often drawn to put it on when choosing among some much more expensive watches.

I bought this watch about a year and a half ago from Overstock. Since then, the sweep second hand has fallen off THREE times! Each time I've returned the watch for repair and Overstock has been helpful but...buyer beware. A "thousand dollar" watch should not have hands falling off even one time. This watch has spent fully 1/2 of its life broken (in the mail, at the repair shop, sitting on my desk with me staring forelornely at it).

I purchased this watch from Overstock.com and got it in less than a week. Overall, I am very glad and happy I got this watch for a great deal cheaper than the retail price and a little bit more less than Overstock's standard price. The watch is not that heavy as I expected it. I guess I got use to a military swiss wenger watch that I got also is pretty big. I only thing I really don't like is shaking it like 500x to charge it up althou to run it only takes 200x. Overall, I am very happy with it. This Seiko watch from here is not warranty by Seiko's US 3 year warranty but Overstock's warranty's 3 years.
