This watch is powered by automatic movement which means the winding of the spring occurs automatically when the wearer moves his arm. However, it is recommended that you manually wind the watch at least once every two weeks. It is an excellent piece of watch, highly attractive, low in priceing, advanced features of watch technology and having excellent appearance . This makes this watch a wonderful watch, which can be recommended to my friends and relatives.
I own about 45-50 watches of various qualities and combinations from $30 to $2500. This watch ranks right at the top for functionality, durability and fun to fiddle with. Accuracy is good for an automatic (+7 seconds per day) . Compass IS usable if you follow instructions. Watch IS hackable to some extent (like holding the second hand still to calibrate with accurate time). Impressive size, quality and weight (about 1/2 pound).

I had this watch for over a week . It has been keeping perfect time. It is a nice and durable watch which I have had my compliments. My wife loves it and wishes there was a women's version. I had 2 links taking out at the jewery store and was complimented and was asked where did I get it . The only issue I have with the watch is trying to figure out the compass feature. It does not list how to work it in the manual. I seen other reviews with the same issue. If looking for a nice diver's watch, this would be a great choice.

I have only had this watch for a month so I can't comment on the durability. I dropped the features rating only because the package came without clear directions for its use, and I had to search on line (two minutes) to learn how to use the functions; and because the compass function will probably never be used. Having said that I will comment that the watch feels hefty and solid, it was relatively easy to set the date and time, albiet I have to reset it at the beginning of any month with less than 31 days. I have been swimming with it but have not had an opportunity to dive deep yet. I like the watch and I think the price was fair and delivery quick.

I purchased this watch as a graduation present to myself and have not taken it off my wrist since it arrived in the mail. It is nice and heavy and as good a Seiko as I have ever had. Very durable and "manly." The only drawback is that I haven't figured out how to use the compass feature and the directions are not included for that feature.
