While looking for an cheap everyday watch and having had sterling service from Seiko watches in the past ( my Seiko divers watch looks like it will last forever as long as I feed it straps and a battery every 4 years ) I found this model. Since the Kinetic models still appear to be having reliability issues and the 5's apart from the SNXE95K1 are cheap looking ( sorry, they do LAST forever however! ) the Premier range looked to be the solution. Since I liked the look of it based on pictures found on the web and Overstock's price really was the cheapest by far I said, what the hey I'll buy it. Overstocks return policy is kind of OK so if the worst came to the worst I'm out less than $10 including return shipping. After the usual short delay, it arrived and WOW it looks so much nicer in real life....shame Overstock do not have the multiple views of the watch that they have of the over cheaper Seiko's. Hint search for the movement used 7N39 since it used in the Premier watches like the SKP051P. The slightly convex (magnifying) crystal is very nice and added to the overall appearance of the watch and highlights the slight blue tint to the hands. The blue tint can be seen in the expanded image here on Overstock.com. The finish and fit of the watch is very nice, the bracelet uses the common split pin joints, nicer than the flat sheets pins used on Seiko 5's for instance. Typical of Seiko, the watch is shipped with blue plastic coverings to protect the bracelet but not the crystal, in a large plastic display case which also has a draw for the warranty document...most importantly the warranty card which will be needed if you have a claim in the first three years of ownership. Given that this movement has a 5 year battery life its unlikely you will ever need it but better safe than sorry!
