This is a phenomenal value for an updated, impeccable and classic design that SEIKO released in 1965 as the Sea Lion line, promising that some day all watches would be made that way. I am still a proud owner of that Sea Lion all stainless steel watch. My wife had the bright idea of giving me this terrific new version that has an attractive gold tone, a more than sufficient water resistance depth and a nice transparent back. An automatic watch is ideal as replacing batteries in the quartz versions is annoying and expensive, especially if you want the job well done to preserve the water resistance properties. You never know when you will be an OUTCAST like Tom Hanks in the namesake film. The fine SEIKO quality, ROLEX like appearance design and top notch Japanese multiple jewels movement, makes it a terrific acquisition for the wrist of any man.

This watch has been worn for a few years, now-no rubbing off of gold finish, accurate, no problems!

This watch runs about 20 seconds a day slow and necessitates resetting almost every day, which is nuisance.

I was worried the watch would look cheap because the picture makes the gold look too "yellow" but it is a perfect color. My boyfriend loves it.

This watch never worked. It is kinetic, it works off your body's activity. It never kept good time. I sent it in 4 times throughout the 3 yr warranty period and it was never fixed. Whether or not the jewelry dept actually tried to fix it, I dont know but it never worked. Get a watch with a battery. Also, if you dont wear it everyday, you will have to wind it if it sits for 24 hrs or so. Pain in the neck. Finally, I received a refund.

I bought my husband the same watch he's owned for years for Father's Day this year and he is pleased. The one drawback is the watchband. He says it pinches his skin so he replaced it with the Spiedel band he had been wearing with the previous watch. I hope this one lasts as long as his old watch. This watch is bold as well as basic. it looks very good on the wrist. My 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the watchband.

Great Watch! I like silver but decided to buy something different and went with the gold. It looks very expensive. It is light weight but very durable. I originally bought an Invicta automatic watch but returned it because it kept stopping and was always 10 minutes late. This watch is very accurate and keeps its movement 4 hours after you put it down...not bad! You also have the option to have the days in spanish. When in doubt, go with Seiko!

Very nice looking watch. Fits well. Doesn't use a battery which is nice but if you don't wear it all the time you'll have to set the time and date periodically because it is a self winding watch which is no big deal for me but others may not want to be bothered. The price was definately right.

It is really a nice watch and accurately functioning.But I could not find made in( country ) name on the watch.

Very pleased with the watch. Only problem was the bracelet was too small and it cost me $10.00 to purchase a link to enlarge. I do not have enormous wrists. Otherwise everything was good.

M;y husband loves the automatic day and day feature so much that he wears this watch constantly and leaves his more expensive one in the drawer. Looks very nice on his arm, too.

this was an anniversary present to replace a seiko i purchased 9 years ago. my husband loved it, especially that the winding stem was set toward the bottom of the face instead of straight out the side. he said it was much more comfortable. we are very pleased with everything about this watch.
