This watch is powered by automatic movement which means the winding of the spring occurs automatically when the wearer moves his/her arm. However, it is recommended that you manually wind the watch at least once every two weeks. It is also important to adjust the time once a month as automatic movement can gain or lose a few minutes per month.

Customer Reviews
I like this watch very much - black face and all, (it's kind of dressy) I would have preferred a lighter face for everyday wear, but Overstock was out. This watch runs great, keeps time very well, and bonus! I never have to worry about batteries anymore!

I purchased the same one for my boyfriend for Christmas last year. At first I thought that there was something wrong with the watch that I bought for him because it seemed to run a minute or two fast, but stupid me, I didn't realize that it was automatic. He's had no problems with his and it looks very nice so I decided to get one for myself. Only problem was, they were out of stock for a while. When they finally got more in, the price had gone up a little but it was worth it to me. I really like the fact that I don't have to replace the battery every year or less. It keeps perfect time and the only time that I have to reset it is if I haven't worn it for 2 days. Con: The only thing that I can say negative about the watch is that some of the finish on the bottom and sides are already starting to wear off because of having to rest my arm on a desk at work. As long as you're careful and conscious of that, that shouldn't be a problem.

Returning my second Seiko watch tomorrow . Neither watch worked for more than a few minutes. Noted that the edges of the links on the wrist band on each watch were irregular and obviously these were not First Quality watches. I had been assured by customer service that Overstock only sells First Quality watches but a quick look at my watches by any QA person will see that I was sold not one but two lemons.

It's hard to find an all gold watch these days, most are silver/gold and I'm not fond of that, so I was thrilled to see this piece. And with a dark face that I love, I guess I'm fairly particular about my watches. I want a date, and this one is big so it's easily viewed at a glance, it has illuminating hands and dots at the numbers so you can see it in the dark as well, and includes a second hand. I love all those features and bought it because of all of them. The bracelet clasp is a little tough, but it's new and it stays on! Great item!

Do not like the automatic movement. Every morning I have to set the time and date. I expected the time and date to stay at least for each morniing when I put the watch on.
