I bought this watch as a gift for my husband and he loves it. It looks even better than the picture portrays it online. It came very fast and in perfect condition.

I was shopping for an affordable automatic sport watch, and Seiko was on my first shopping list due to their excellent reputation and durability. I then spot on this Seiko Sports 5 automatic watch, it has large day and date window which is very easy to read, and all hands and hour markers are illuminated in the dark, much brighter than my other watches. The watch also has rotating bezel for easy reading your elasped time, and it has a manual adjusted compass, Overstock shipped the watch with the compass user instruction which seems quite easy to use, I tested the compass during my camping trip, and it worked, but the function is not quite useful if you already have a real compass. The compass instruction can also be downloaded from Seiko web site. Overstock provide 3 years warranty for the watch. The watch appearance is absolutely attractive, the craftmanship is top rated, and the best of all, the watch uses a 23 jewelry automatic mechnism, it is "very" accurate for an automatic watch, I did not measure the exact accuracy, but I have been wearing the watch for 2 weeks now, and I have not adjusted the time yet, my guess is several seconds per week. The watch has 200M water resistant and screw-in crown. The service from Overstock is also very good, the watch was arrived in good condition. I chosed the white dial model because it was $60 cheaper than the blue or black dial model, and I did the right choice, the white dial looks really nice too. The watch is heavier than most regular watches, but it is about the same weight as my the other diver watch, I wear it almost everyday, and did not feel any uncomfortable. It is a good automatic watch if you are shopping one.

I always make sure how many jewels a watch has (automatic means nothing), 23 is excellent. The watch keeps great time. Seiko is a reliable company, been around for years, and always good looking. I bought the white one, because it was $50 to $60 cheaper than the blue or black face. Only con the hands should have been highlighed in black, the silver is hard to see.

This Seiko watch is a real find! It is large, but not huge, so someone with an average to large wrist can wear it comfortably. The fit and finish is excellent. It feels heavy and sturdy, looks great, and keeps excellent time. The bracelet is also a cut above the average. The watch is a winner. I have to comment on the bezel in particular - it looks, feels, and clicks awesome(ly)!

this sieko 5 sport men automatric steel watch is good, like the watch so far , the band is strong ,watch it good, like it after i adjust the band,just have to learn the compass on it but its time is ok ,two days of use and i like it, i will send more review in a month after testing it.

The Seiko 5 line is a line of exceptional time keepers. the 5 in Seiko 5 denotes that it uses a double beat mechanism when compared to a regular auto-winder. the double beat mechanism provides for optimum time keeping. I have another Seiko 5 that I purchased in Saudi Arabia in early 1976. It keeps perfect time to this day.

I used to have a Seiko Automatic years ago, but I was a kid, Young and Stupid! Well I lost it, traded it, something, I don't remember what. Ever since I've gone through I don't know how many Timex's. I'm not hard on watches, Timex is just a cheap watch. This Seiko is the watch I've been wanting for a long time. It's a big watch, and a heavy watch too. The compass function is a little more than I need, but that's OK. It keeps very good time and the Day / Date is easy to see. It would have been nice if the hands or face were contrasting colors the hands get a little lost at first but you get used to it fast. The band isn't cheap either, it's very well constructed heavy duty, The whole watch is heavy duty. I expect this may be the last watch I'll ever have to buy. But if it isn't the next one will be a Seiko as well. And Overstock.com will likely be where I get it.

I am enjoying my Seiko 5 Sport automatic watch, rugged, medium heavy and very accurate piece of time keeping jewelry. Well Seiko is known for excellent know how of watchery and technology and craftsmanship. The picture on the web dipicting Seiko 5 is very poor. The watch is attention grabber, the letters are very sharp and the glow in the dark is also very luminous. I still have'nt figure out how to use the compass but have no need for it. I like it as a decorative feature. I got 7.5" wrist and the steel band is 8" and I like a little slack so the watch can dangle at the base of the wrist...feels great in a hot day and its a cool fashion statement as well. Yes indeed, a good watch can makes you feel good! I am already shopping for another watch....I must say, one can become obsessive with good watches. Overstock keep the prices right and I'll keep buying!

Got this watch in March and it is already not keeping time. Will be submitting warranty claim soon....

I purchased this watch for myself and I am very pleased and surprised with the delivery time from overstock.com. The watch looks and feels great. It may be a heavy watch for some but works good for me as I have large wrists. They only fault I have is that there was not enough instruction on how to use the compass feature. Still have not figured it out yet. This will not be my last watch purchase from overstock.
