  I am not a gemologist, but I have seen several very good rubies and this ring compares favorably with them. The stone is a true ruby-red. The setting is a relatively low profile so it does not get caught in clothing or pinch my finger like some high profile stones sometimes do. But unlike a band setting, it sets off the stone with a high profile-like effect. This is not a large stone, so you can wear it for everyday -- or on weekends like I do, when things are more casual and you want to have that "I'm spectacular without even trying hard" look.

  • How accurate was the sizing? Accurate sizing, no need to "size up" or "size down"

  This is not worth the money. I could get the same product for less at K-mart.

  I gave this to my wife for our 40th anniversary. When it arrived, I carefully examined it under good light, high magnification and with a jeweler's loupe. All stones seemed securely mounted. My wife was very pleased!

  I bought this ring for my niece who turns 16 in July - it's her birthstone. We both wear the same size ring so I tried it on immediately to check sizing - now I wish I didn't have to give it away(but I will).
